Well I would never insult anyone for their beliefs - even if they were wacky - even if they supported the BNP or were NWO fans. I respect fully everyone's freedom to speak about what they like. But I dont think anyone should throw personal insults around.

Unless Al Fayed wanted to be called a nutter and looney why did he make his claims in court ? It undermined the argument he was making because the "establishment" painted him out as a mental nutcase.

Harrods apart I suggest you look at what he did with Fulham FC.

Many rich people have run football clubs in the Championship and never made the Premier League.

I saw Fulhams last match before Al Fayed took over. They had crowds of around 3,500 - 4,000 and were a nothing club in the bottom division of the league.

Within 5 years they were playing to an average crowd of 20,000 in the Premier League where they have stayed ever since.

I think the success of how he has achieved that with a small unfashionable little club with a small fanbase shows his GENIUS. Not his madness. Anyone can spend millions on a club to try and buy them success - most fail. He has achieved it by being very astute and clever.

Why then would a clever and astute man put himself in the witness box and make himself sound as mad as a box of frogs. The only explanation is that he is - telling the truth. For his own sake he had to say the truth. History will judge that he told the truth I can assure you.

When examining evidence look for the agenda - look for the story surrounding the evidence. When accusing someone of lying look for WHY they lied and what they would achieve by that lie. In this case the "lie" was not going to help - in fact it has led to this sex abuse claim which will go nowhere - because it is ficticious and a set up and the authories are aware that the UK is waking up to these set ups.......

I like to learn things and learn quickly - so I do enjoy posting on here because of the articulate posters who hang out here who represent many points of view. So I do expect to be back Monday !

That he is telling the truth is not the only explanations. He may believe he is telling the truth, which would fit equally well, but be mistaken.

It could also be the incoherent ramblings of a distressed father.

I'm not a fan of Al Fayad and I think he's probably unhinged. I have no idea whether or not he sexually assaulted anybody. But I do know that the system is broken and corrupt and that something is very wrong with society.

Just as it makes it worse when an easy target like Barry George is attacked (bullies always choose easy targets), so I suspect Al Fayad may indeed be the victim of targeted malice.
