Is this ostentatious? 15 Years, 6 Months ago
At this moment I have a TV aerial fitter who is fitting a high gain element aerial on the roof, just so that I can have a proper TV signal.... in my study.

Well it`s no worse than the fact that I had Sky TV installed in the office so that I can watch the cricket!

Should help when the digital switchover happens.

Yep the card inside my PC is a Digital one and I have been watching all the Freeview channels since this morning with no pixelating disturbance!

I have loved my large widescreen monitor for the simple fact that at one part of the screen I can 'work', the other I can 'enjoy'!

I have only small screens which the tv and the computers go through, I really don`t like widescreens, I find they take up too much room.

Widescreens are a blessing. I couldn't go back to the old 15 inch TFT. Dell have soome cracking deals at the moment. Great for movies when you're supposed to be working!

I dont even use an TFT as big as that Angel. I get so much paperwork etc that I wanted to clear desk space.
The TV upstairs, I won in a raffle, but did take time out to run the freeview box that one goes through, through 150 watts of hi fi. I prefer the sound to the vision aspect and always have done.
Despite all the expensive graphics done in a production these days, I can enjoy a programme , film or sports game by glancing up only occasionally.

I was fine with the smaller screen till i upgraded. I guess once you go large its harder to go back. Cue drumroll and snare. The ironic thing is that i want to clear desk space too. Looking for a unit with doors that conceals evrything is turning out to be a mare. They used to sell them everywhere a few years back.
