Amusing weekend thread - best TV supplement? 15 Years, 6 Months ago
I chuck away 90% of silly bits stuck into newspapers and at weekends they lose all control but one thing I do keep is TWO TV supplements - the best is the SUNDAY TIMES CULTURE section and the other terrific one is the MAIL SATURDAY supplement.

I chuck the rest but when I was in prison I gave the supplements away to other needy inmates and they were HUGELY popular (I got 6 papers a day and 7 on Sundays so, after removing my two, that left 11 I gave away to those who behaved well).

WORST? The Observer one is awful. The Sun and Mirror ones are cheap and tacky. The Guardian has (had) good bits like Charlie Brooker and is an amusing size/shape but both Guardian and Observer lose HUGE points by never carrying the ITV3 schedule.

The other one I like (and keep upstairs for bedtime reading) is the TIMES Saturday one.

I actually chuck all the TV supplements straight out.
There was a time that I used the Guardian one and would keep it all week, but I very much like "pot luck" in most of my viewing and don`t really like pre reviews of programmes.
