A dreadful credit crunch card trick........... 15 Years, 6 Months ago
..when a bill comes in here, I pay it, always have done.

No credit card bill came in last month and they have charged me interest on this.

This is a low trick, watch out for it, I am loathed to have had to just stick the thing on Direct Debit, but it would appear that I cannot trust them or the post!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

It's also worth checking your credit and debit card statements for a current scam involving prepaid mobile phones. Basically scammers can get hold of your details, usually in restaurants and petrol stations, and use them to pay for

I agree Angel, I was forced to use mine, quite simply because I forgot to pay myself, which is a common thing I do annoyingly.

It depends how you use them. I have a credit card with a very low limit and pay it off religiously each month and therefore avoid any interest payments. I literally pay for everything with it as they are safer than debit cards or carrying cash. If I go over the limit and the card is refused it also acts a nudge to tell me I am perhaps spending too much that month!! I was in a situation recently where I bought furniture for

Ditto Foz.

The insurance part of CC is very worthwhile.

Oddly one of my card has just increased my limit again completely unasked by me. IRC the last time they did this was only a couple of months ago.

They all seem to be offering me 0% (+ fees though) on balance transfers.

"Credit Crunch"... what "Credit Crunch"

I just spoke to them on the phone and the guy admitted that a lot of people "did not receive statements last month as there was a problem".

Well that`s fine and so I asked for my "late payment fee" back, which of course, they cannot do.
Great innit? They get paid extra for their "error"!

I hate carrying cash, it`s a pretty hairy thing to do on a busy street, but I believe, that a "cash under the bed" mentality will return, which will have an impact on the economy due to hiding taxes as a result of cash payments.

The credit companies, will not care about "going under" they will just care that their profits are not hitting the highest mark possible on a graph.

Well, our little 70`s "Flexible Friend", you did not finish the script did you? You only wrote the prologue.

That comment made me realize that when I first took out my credit card, the limit was
