I really cannot stand any of them.

I voted Lib Dem last time around simply because they had been against the Iraq murder invasion from the start.

But I think all three current leaders are awful and I cannot see an Obama in the wings.

My favourite politician (apart from Boris) is Nigel Farage, but I don't think that UKIP will be elected any time in the near future.

Someone always said to me, if you make the effort to go to the polling station, you can spoil the paper, which is classed as a no-confidence in whoever becomes PM. Not sure how true that is.

However, if I had to choose between the three main parties, it would be Gordon Brown, as Cameron has no substance and Nick Clegg is another Cameron-clone. Gordon Brown is dull and boring, but I would trust him over the others.

Irony is that if Charles Kennedy was still the leader, I may of voted for Liberal.

But I have to say, that the lack of choice is worrying.

Brown and Blair have destroyed this country on the altar of being Bush's poodle. I have voted labour before but not next time.

Cameron is not fantastic but he is the only alternative.

We may have to get Cameron in in order to get changes for the following election - because I agree choice will not be great in 2010.

But to allow Brown to stay in power means the end for the UK because he does not value England at all - or the UK. He sees things in Global Financial Terms because he is a theorist rather than a politician who looks at what happens to ordinary people.

Actually, there is someone, but he's not in the wings. William Hague. I think he is now mature enough and experienced to lead the country. Shame he stoood as party leader too early.

Hague is a class act and could never have turned around the Tory Party because it was in too much of a mess at the time.

He is likely to have a big job for Cameron though ?

Apparantly when Hague was opposition leader, he regularly got the better of Blair in the Parliament debates.

It's an interesting scenario, but I can not see it happening.

I have been very impressed with William Hague in recent years - he's definitely has leadership potential. He has also had a very successful business career which could only be a big plus in the dire financial situation that we are in.

He would get my vote.

you reflect exactly what I was thinking JK!

spending 6 months of the year in Australia I was so pleased when the voters booted out the dreadful John Howard and elected the mild Kevin Rudd..an admitted Christian but one who actually believes in helping his fellow man/woman , is intelligent and clever and retains a 70% approval rate.

Now the USA has got Barak Obama which breaks the dreadful cycle of the Neocons and Bush..but I can't see anyone in the UK who can fill the same role !!

Although I prefer Obama to Bush anyday, there doesn't seem to be much substance to Obamas policies. It all seems to be sound bites and rhetoric. He hasn't actually explained what he's going to do and how he's going to do it.

he has 3 good policies..get out of Iraq..fix the US health system so the 35 million (and increasing every day) who aren't covered can actually get into a hospital and one of the best..invest billions in alternative energy. He wants to make the USA the leaders in alternative energy..a brilliant idea..they have the money and skills to do it.

It does seem true that people don't vote for a party they vote against.

When Blair and Co got in surely the euphoria was the Tories had been kicked out.

We see the same with Obama - he isn't Bush and that is a good thing

What happens next is probably what happened here - same old same.
