It has been noted on several other internet forums that Jacqui Smith seems to have lost all sparkle and life from her eyes.

This look is typical many have said of people who are basically sold out on power - basically the "deal with the devil" crowd.

I remember watching a West End musical called HOT STUFF based on the hits of the 70s with an amazing singer called Peter Straker ? that was based on this legendary story of selling one's soul to the devil.....

I dont mix too much with famous politicians or people - but for those of you who do - would you agree that this sort of selling out does take place ? and that people like Smith and Blair who previously you would think of as decent and hard working - suddenly switch into a completly different persona.........is this really happening >?

in a way I think there is such a thing as "selling your soul to the devil"..in that some people will abandon all principles in the pursuit of power and do not think of the consequences.

I truly believe in karma..you do good deeds and eventually good comes back to you. What goes around, comes around etc.

When I look at Tony Blair's eyes it seems to me as though there is no "soul" behind them..he comes in great packaging.

Either there is no soul there (and it's in the "devil's hands) or he is stark raving bonkers. Do his eyes look normal to you ???
