Agree with you JK - it seems good families get ripped apart and the dysfunctional families never see any children taken into care.

Care children also are more likely to end up in prison and out of work.

So we are creating our own problems.

Finally if you smoke you cant be a foster carer anymore - or if you believe in Christianity.

So more kids end up in hostel type homes with no role models/

In the clip Eunice says to tell someone it's OK to be gay would compromise her faith and as a non-discriminatory policy is part of the foster parent agreement she and her husband cannot adopt.

She seems to think children only become homosexual after the age of 10 so you should be allowed to adopt up to that age. Bizarre.

It is said near the end that Eunice and Owen withdrew their application but are at liberty to reapply.

Strictly speaking it's not because they are Christians but because the insist homosexuality is "wrong".

I assume they think it's a sin and such a child or adult will be sent by their loving god to Hell and burn forever. Not really symptoms of a health mind and fit people to foster.

If it's not this exact case I'm willing to bet it is a similar one or one no better.

If this is the case BR refers to it does have his usual lack of comprehension, exaggeration, spin and misrepresentation.

I expect BR is referring to instances where Christian foster carers have been told they cannot foster if they refuse to tell children that homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle. Quite right too. Always a mystery how it is so often Christians who find it most challenging to be "christian".

I believe that there are several cases involving Catholics ( who of course have beliefs that say Abortion and Contraception is wrong )

Religious freedom is important. As long as though beliefs do not turn into any form of hate - which in Christianity should not happen because the central part of Christianity is loving your neighbour - enemies etc.

Therefore it is not acceptable that people's religious beliefs are used to stop them fostering.

If Muslims or Jews or Buddists were treated like this there would be outrage - but our Politically Correct Government seems to dislike any religion.

Finally I might add that if I post anything on here that claims facts to back it up then those facts will exist. Though I express opinions often like all of us - in a situation when I say that something has happened then I would be stupid to say that without it being true.

The apostle Paul made it very clear that homosexuality is not acceptable from a Christian point of view, therefore not accepting it as a lifestyle is very much being Christian. It's not down to interpretation. Those "christians" who say it should be acceptable are ignoring basic Christian principles and so are not true Christians.

Yeah, the same true christians who take a load of superstitious bollox, written by a bunch of animal sacrificing nutters, about 2000 years ago, as truth.
