BBC website avoids the big issue 15 Years, 5 Months ago
news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point/default.stm

Unlike every other news site the BBC have stopped any debate on the Stalinist state police.

The bias is deafening. The BBC News service should be sacked for grossly offensive reporting.

Have they stopped debate, or do they just have limited space? The main BBC news coverage still refers to remarks about a Stalinist state, and they don't seem to be holding back any criticism of the police or government.

ahem....so measles is the big talking point this week in the "Have your say" section.

They have never not "jumped" onto a big story like this before.....very strange

For parents of young children who haven't been fully vaccinated, measles is quite a major issue.

The destruction of a democracy built over nearly 1000 years would also appear to be a story that would have some merit to be discussed on that basis

Indeed it would... if it was actually happening.

It is happening, but my opinion is that demoncracy itself is a sham anyway. It doesn't make the current constitutional crisis any less shocking though. Even I didn't expect this regime to be revealing their true colours so soon but does the general public see the two main underlying issues - which put in simplified terms seems to be that traditional hard-earned constitutional traditions (and indeed the Rule of Law) are being over-ridden, and re: the credit crunch there is no Plan B - basically people have to keep buying things they don't need with money they don't have and that's that.

It would appear that the powers that be have now concluded that they have done enough to now do whatever they like.

I'm not a celebrity, get me out of here!

Good news

HAVE YOUR SAY now has put the question up on the BBC site - so please head over there and join in.

needless to say many HAVE YOUR SAY regulars are asking why it took the BBC 5 days to have "debate" on the issue - hoping the fury would die down.

Sad to say for Ms SMITH it seems that 90% of the UK public want to see her resign over the issue. Which I hope is what happens in order to stop such actions ever taking place again to ANY party.
