Well, what a relief - the three nicest people end up in the final.

Clearly everybody wants wonderful Martina to win (loved her ever since interviewing her years ago) but George is a sweetheart (what a voice) and Joe is so delightfully honest and honourable - and the best example of a normal guy being totally not threatened by being the only non gay in the village.

I'd be delighted for any one of the three to win.

Apart from seeing it listed in my TV mag, I seem to have managed to avoid all the hype and gossip about the show this time round. I haven't tuned in to This Morning, who tend to bombared the viewers with chatter about it, and I don't have access to Richard and Judy's new show. I have been able to remain happily oblivious. I don't even know who the contestants are this year.



I also haven't a clue who's still in the X Factor. My two favourites went out long ago and the left-overs didn't inspire me to stay tuned.

The only TV shows I've really been into lately are Survivors, Outnumbered, Stephen Fry in America, Combat Chefs and Dangerous Adventures for Boys.

I have to say Ant and Dec are brilliant; it's only them that manages to keep the stale format fresh and watchable.

George is a really class act; a true lesson in growing old gracefully.
Joe is clearly a sweetheart - so open and honest and decent.
Martina is a genuine superstar and I cannot work out how she agreed to be on it.

I would have been happy for any of the three to win and Joe is a worthy King, as Martina (who I actually would put in the top ten of people in my lifetime) would have been the perfect Queen.

What does the future hold for Joe? He seems like his head is screwed on, so no signs of him doing a Katonic. I really hope this opens doors for him. He is obviously a real good soul and deserves all that is good. A worthy winner.

Ok I have to ask. Who are Joe, George and Martina?
