I'm sorry to hear this news, as George really seems to have turned his life around in the past year or so, working hard and living clean.

The word of a hooker succeeds again. Yes there is no reason why a hooker should not tell the truth but a person prepared to do or say anything for money should not be regarded as totally honest.

Hunches and generalisations may have been your downfall in the justice system, it's a common theme on this site though - 'it's a fit up' 'they are lying' etc...

Godiva, the beating with a chain was not proven at all- the doctor in the trial said that the escort's injuries were almost certainly NOT the result of being either handcuffed or beaten with a chain.

I've been following the trial, also reading posts from people who were in court and it would indeed seem that technically George is indeed guilty, but that both men were high on cocaine and George was paranoid that his computer had been hacked. The escort at first denied accessing his computer but a computer expert proved that he had.

I am not saying George was innocent of the exact charges, but that the escort was a pretty dodgy character too.

what you guys forget is this is the police successfully prosecuting the abuse and violation of a reluctant, trafficked prostitute from overseas.

They can't get the young girls, forced in from Eastern Europe and Africa but now they can show a success rate with this poor, innocent child from..Norway (That must be near Moldova yes?).

and I know George and this is not the sort of thing he does..a vicious mouth yes, but physically..no!( although he can look after himself).

I have no doubt he would win an appeal but who needs this stuff ??

And yes, by remarkable co-incidence the bloke has sold his story and no doubt will be claiming victim's compensation (..which is non-refundable even if the alleged criminal is found innocent on appeal)

The only 2 people who can say exactly what happenned are the two concerned.This often comes down to who impresses the judge/jury the most.Not always the one telling the truth.
I've nothing against prostitutes,they're welcome to indulge in earning their living in anyway they choose..but if your work does involve heavy bondage then you do have to be prepared for things to get out of hand a little,occupational hazzard.
If you can't accept that risk then you really shouldn't be doing this kind of work especially in an alien country.

I've met George several times and always found him excellent company, intelligent, funny, attractive and talented.

I speak as I find.

He never asked to chain me up.

I agree..George is intelligent and extremely witty and ten minutes with him brighens up your life..he has that affect.

Drugs must submerge his personality which is sad.

I'm speculating but I believe this would have been a drug episode that got out hand and one person saw the opportunity to make money.
I hope George doesn't get a jail sentence but if he does, I'd say he would become very popular with other prisoners..he has an infectuous personality and is able to communicate with people from all walks of life.

It's hilarious that when a court case/alleged crime is mentioned on this site the post remains quiet until JK says what he thinks and then all the usual suspects pile in with agreement and their 'considered' opinion.

Unless it's linked to child abuse as all the posters seem to know that the legal age is 3 in inner mongolia so what is child abuse anyway?

definitely not so in my case Godiver. I started the thread off in the first place still have the same opinion now.

Some people will only see what they want to see David, despite the fact that not only did you start the thread but Godiver answered himself before I commented!

And many threads go up without any contribution from yours truly.

What is interesting, though, is that 4507 people have read this thread - but only a dozen or so contributions.

If Godiver's point is that many are prepared to take but few to give, that's fair.
