Chicken Livers in onion, garlic and mushroom sauce with jasmin rice and fresh green peas...
Plus this new low alcohol Waitrose cider I'm getting hooked on.

sounds delicious. BBQ tonight: steak, new potatoes, salad with caesar dressing followed by strawberries and cream. All eaten on the patio bathed in glorious sunshine. Coffee anyone?

Sunday lunch (cooked by me for my Mum and me)... 17 Years, 11 Months ago
Delicious escargots in garlic butter bubbling hot with crusty fresh French bread and shrimps potted in herbal butter as well... and a quite delectable bottle of red wine (I only had a sip) brought over for me by French friends from Dieppe that was superb... my Mum likes red wine; I generally don't but this was excellent.

Hospital Food post... 17 Years, 11 Months ago
Well, I`m home, and I can`t wait to order a curry tonight!.
Anoemic chips, with a bread crummed fishy looking thing, served with grey peas, firstly springs to mind, minced and very gritty lamb in tomato puree, with instant mashed potato, as well. Most food was followed with a yoghurt or ice cream, and served with a tub (not carton) of orange juice, which spills everywhere when you open it.
I must say I quite enjoyed the rigour of the stewed tea, it hadnt occured to me to brew it for an hour before serving before:sick:
Thank god someone needed my hospital bed, otherwise I would have been there till Thursday...

We were in London on Saturday and had lunch at MORO in Exmouth Market EC1. Fantastic place. Anybody else tried it? www.moro.co.uk

Not been there but heard very good things... 17 Years, 11 Months ago
my trouble is that the only thing I don't like about Morocco is the food.
I love everything else about the country.
Still I gather it's more Moorish than Moroccan... I will try it sometime.

Re: Hospital Grub 17 Years, 11 Months ago
Nothing is worse than hospital food it is cold, soggy and revolting.

I fell sorry for anyone who has to eat it if you don't they report you and want to know why you left it.

Enjoy your take-out Martin.

Moro isn't Morrocan, it's Spannish! But I'd actually say it's European, if there is such a thing!!
