If we avoid becoming a fully blown Police State this woman will figure highly in the History Books of this century.

Without her "leak" we would never have been allowed the "truth" about the De Menezes assassination.

Even now the "State" tries to cover up the truth by stopping juries from having a say. But all of us know the truth because of this brave young woman.

Thank heavens for people who have the courage to tell the truth !!

If we were anything near the "Police State" you claim lurks we would know nothing about this.

You cannot use information widely available to prove some kind of conspiracy to silence that information, it is a simple contradiction.

Also acting as if this has no kind of precedent, recent or otherwise, and is a harbinger of some new sinister force is the work of a fool or a knave. (Sarah Tisdall comes to mind immediately as a previous example of which there are many more.)

Starting with an assumption and then cherry picking information that seems to support that preconceived purpose is not the way to truth, it is a very basic error and fallacious way of proceeding.

Misrepresenting information only serves to weaken the reliable information. BR, you are your own enemy.

There has never been a civilian gunned down as a terrorist before in London by the Police.

There has never been a cover up like it before.

Some people have their heads firmly in the sand and try and create a bubble for themselves - the truth is out there and sadly it is not as you would like it to be.

The facts about what happened to De Menezes are an example being played out in front of us about how the state actually works now.

The "whistleblower" says that if she had not taken extreme steps ( taking photos etc ) and then leaking to ITN - then the truth would never have come out. The Police would have villified De Menezes as someone running to the tube in a large coat looking like a terrorist - and all of us would say - well done the Police for taking out this threat.

The reality was that a brown skinned person got on the tube reading a newspaper - sat down - and then found himself shot to death by several armed plain clothes police - to the absolute shock of all the others in the carriage on the train. The Police did not even identify themselves - and for many they thought they were witnessing a gangland killing.

I believe we are in dangerous times - and like many tens of thousands of others - and the current Police Forces cant be trusted or our Government either.

I have no magic solution but whilst we still live in a free country ( which it is ) Then the more of us who speak out against such injustice the better.

This women has singlehandedly saved many thousands of lives by her actions - because it would given carte blanche to the Police to shoot any suspects regardless of evidence.
