a few things about Survivors 15 Years, 4 Months ago
One is that they really shouldn't film near freshly cultivated fields or show nicely mowed lawns. It kills credibility.

Another is the question of how these scientists survived the virus. No doubt it would have started before they were secured in their bunker. They each had families and homes outside, so any one of them could have carried the virus into their labs. They have no antidote, so the chances of them all staying alive would be virtually none. I assume they are supposed to have developed the virus and unleashed it, maybe unintentionally, but the same questions arise.

With the number of military bases, gun shops and farms scattered around the country, the lead character group would have made it a priority to find weapons of some kind for self defence and had fair success.

I know I'm nit picking. It's just a fictional drama. But I do tend to pick up on such things. I prefer to be able to suspend my disbelief.

And if that was the last of the series, why all the loose ends?

I think the loose ends were because they need a second series to tell the whole story.

I agree the shady lab types look as if they created the problem and seem to lack vaccine.

It is almost impossible on a TV budget to get things totally right.

The Day the Earth Stood Still - the new version is very impressive but if you go to the Internet Movie Database Site they list the "goofs" - which I did not notice at the time. So even big budget shows cant get it totally right.

Looking forward to the loose ends being tied up in the next series. I think it has been a very good programme and asked the right questions. The fact there are no answers is probably quite realistic. We all think we would know what to do - but if there are so few people and limited resources then without communications it must be hard for people to function on a daily basis let alone plan for any sort of future.

I wouldn't expect everything to be accurate, but with the experience within the BBC and modern technology they could have chosen a crossroads where there wasn't a freshly harvested crop. That bit of editing is quite easy even for amateurs.

But overall I enjoy the series. It started out as a genuine "What if", but ended up as mere escapism.
