In other words they WILL NOT BE REMOVING DNA samples from INNOCENT people from the DNA database. Only limiting how long they remain on the database. So INNOCENT people will have their DNA retained on that database.

This is truly shocking and shows how ILLEGAL our GOVERNMENT in the UK actually is. They BREAK THE LAW that they signed up to ( European Law ) whenever they want - even after a massive trial.

This must not be allowed to happen - and I believe EVERYONE who has DNA on the database who has not been convicted should take LEGAL ACTION against this government together - all ONE MILLION of them. On the basis of

This is all a ruse though..the intention is to have every citizen DNA tested and recorded.

The most galling thing in all this madness is that there is no less crime and that crime prevention is a joke.
I'm convinced there is a New World Order about to descend upon us and that far from being a planned conspiracy it is happening because of the rise of like-minded fascist style leaders and politicians.

well..what I or BR believe doesn't really change the basic facts..you know..if it walks and talks like a duck etc.

I've become rather fascinated by David Icke since BR's campaign to alert us to him. Watching his videos on he web he is fairly convincing but then he was a TV correspondent so he has the 'gift of the gab' so to speak.

There is one Icke video that fascinates me as it concerns something I'm most interested in at present..the continuing cases of people being arrested,questioned or detained in the UK, US and Australia for taking photographs or filming in the street. In all 3 places there is absoutely no legal right for police to do this..people are free to film and video at will and no-one (as several court cases have shown) has the right to privacy when in public. France has different laws.

Most times the police act out of ignorance (which is a fault of their bosses)but I note that the reasons given are usually the same:"terrorism" or "pedo panic".

2 people have been arrested on Bondi Beach for taking pics on their mobile phones..one of topess girls and the other of "nippers"..the young boys and girls in the lfesaving movement.

Personally I think it's fairly rude to take a pic of someone's children without asking the parent's permission and most newspapers respect this rule. But if you sunbathe topless in public I think you can expect to be photographed.

The guy arrested in the topless case pleaded not guilty and won...afterall he hadn't commited an offense ( although he may have been offensive)and I note on any one day there must be 6 to 10 paparazzi patrolling Bondi Beach on the look-out for celebs on the beach and the pics appear often in the tabloids and glossies. I think Kylie Minogue has been snapped there topless (years ago before the present madness) and pics of Hugh Jackman and his kids were recently widely published(the tablods ditch their rules when convenient)

Icke takes his camera crew to Downing Street and is pulled up by 2 cops and questioned..he really loses his cool and says this is a perfect example of the police oversteping their boundaries and, as if illustrating the craziness is the fact several of the tourist public start photographing Icke's encounter without any problem !

Interesting thing about photographing the police.

In 2005, not long after the London bombings, I was in London and there were armed police on patrol. Two were standing at the end of St. James' Park opposite Horse Guards. A middle aged man stopped to take a photo of them and he was told "Don't do that plesse Sir. No photographs of the police." He went on his way with a bit of a grumble. Later a couple of attractive young ladies came along and one asked if she could pose for a photo with the two police officers. They agreed and smiled for the camera. I was loitering without intent at that end of the park and was witness to both these. I was left thinking that if terrorist groups want to photograph the police they only need to send attractive women to do it. Though I'm still not sure what harm a camera can do, unless it's a gun in disguise.

Cameras are now either your friend or enemy. I have cameras installed in my home as I don't want anyone accusing me of mis-behaving. But then there is the problem of covertly filming someone so I have a sign inside my door saying cameras are operating. No-on ever reads it.

Another Jacqui Smith acheivement..announced quietly just before Christmas when guaranted to garner no publiciy, is the fact that ConactPoint-the government agency that plans to have the full details of 11 million British children computerised...now over 500,000 people from various agenies will be able to access that information ! Wonderful. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before we are all chipped like dogs and cats.

I wonder if citizens have the right to opt out of ContactPoint or access the infor themselves and correct details if they are incorrect. I doubt it.

There was an advert on TV just before Christmas for a way to contact some government database people so that you can check that your details are accurate and correct them if necessary. I've been waiting for it to come on again so that I can pay more attention, but I haven't seen it since.

I don't think I dreamed it.

However, my first (cynical) thought was that it was an easy way for the government to get our details on a datatbase. We assume we are already on and then contact them with our true details to have them verified. We are then told our details have been correctly entered and have "nothing to worry about".
