Continues the Cloughie legend.
Plus he's done long enough - hugely successfully - where he was (ten years? Phenomenal).

Fingers crossed he conquers the world.

I'll obviously be joining you in that wish, JK.

I just hope Derby's American owners give him plenty of time to turn things round. His progress was quite slow during his ten years at Burton, but all the more lasting for that. He will be leaving them in great shape both on the pitch and financially. Another Derby legend Roy McFarland is taking over at Burton, at least as caretaker manager.

I'm quite excited as a Derby fan, but I suppose much of that is merely sentimental. It's great to see another Clough in charge after about 35 years.

Nigel Clough was at Burton Albion in non-league football for about 10 years so its about time he was given a chance in the higher leagues. Paul Ince got a chance of a premier league job after just 2 seasons in lower leagues.
Nigel is a much quieter subdued figure than his dad, so don't expect any controversial behaviour from him.
