TOPIC: Harrods Sale

Harrods Sale 15 Years, 4 Months ago
Back from sunny Morocco I popped over to Harrods for the sale.

Recession? Bah, humbug. The place was rammed.

I was searching for a decent Roasting Pan. Now that may seem absurd but I've been buying those cheap non stick ones and every few weeks the substance peels off and coats my potatoes in black material which makes my tummy non stick.

So I got a gorgeous solid one in Harrods for £81. It may sound a lot but it was knocked down from £165 and should last forever.

I bought another lovely white toweling robe - £45, down from £200.

And the most amazing huge Argentinian sheepskin rug. Soft as snow, beautifully made, brand new - £988 but I got it for £215. I shall never need slippers in my bedroom again.

Happy New Year JK!

still loving Harrods.

Years ago when I was broke for 6 months I lived on my Harrod's card and filled up the fridge from the Food Hall..never ate so well !.

I once had a flat mate who was busted for shop lifting in Harrods in the ladies dept..the security guards said they had watched him for several days on the monitors and finally caught him stealing a £1500 dress.

In court he wrote a note to the kindly looking judge saying he stole it as he was saving up for a sex change.
He got a conditional discharge. They were the days!
