do you think "total control" is on the way ? 15 Years, 3 Months ago
now here is a new law you just wouldn't believe..in the state of Maine in the USA it wil become an offence to stare at a child too long !!

Heaven help those who are hard or seeing or wont to stare into space in a daydream like me.

Needless to say..it's a cop and a scumbag poltician sponsering the bill..she says "There is a growing outcry by the public to protect our children,"

www.seacoastonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art.../804060343/-1/NEWS01

but the outcry of course is being led by creeps like her..as this new study in the USA shows where 49 US state Attorneys find "The Internet may not be such a dangerous place for children after all...and "Threats to Children Overblown" much to the chagrin of the dickhead AG who instigated the enquiry. This waste of space of a poltician should have know the cardinal rule in politics..never instigate an enquiry unless you already know the findings !

www.nytimes.com/2009/01/14/technology/in...YWAY&ei=5065

On another note..there is an academic in Melbourne who has garnered headlines for himself by stating torture is acceptable if it "saved a few hundred lives from a terrorist attack ". Despite even the USA finding torture is utterley useless for gaining information..I've written to this right-wing University professor and asked if he meant that Guatanamo Bay inmates should be tortured by any means possible. He replied in the affirmative (which just confirms what he previously said which includes sexual humiliation) and stated that anything.."absolutely anything" is acceptablefor the greater good"

I replied to that letter nearly 3 months ago and asked him if he then accepted that any of the over 60 children incarcerated at Gitmo (who have never been charged with a crime) could be raped or sexually assaulted to force them to reveal information.

The dog hasn't answered !. I was dying to reveal if he claimed that child rape was OK !. Moral crusaders.. all hot air and sleazy but evil and very dangerous hypocrits..the lot of them.

I wonder who determines what is "too long", or will it be left dangerously open to interpretation?

You raise a good point about those with poor eyes sight, etc. It would be nice to think that people would apply common sense, but there seems little of that about these days. The fact that this law was even considered proves that. This is like an April fool story.

Now, in Maine, and no doubt other places will follow, people will be surrying about with eyes averted, afraid to glance at their fellow humans in case their glance is misinterpreted. Yet more isolation. Fear breeds paranoia which breeds fear which breeds paranoia, and so on. The end of Western civilisation, and those in power will not realise the damage they have done to the children until it is too late.

Most people walk around looking at the floor in London these days. They are intimidated by CCTV cameras bristling above them and the fear of accidently looking into the eyes of someone with a knife or worse.

I think they do in Liverpool as well... I know I certainly do. I feel grossly violated for almost everywhere I look, there's bloody CCTV cameras AND those Police vans constantly patrolling CCTV everything.

Then theres the high presence of "security guards" in most shops. I went into the city the other day and I had another spectacular crack up in Tesco... THREE security guards all pounced in my direction. I reckon if everywhere halved the number of those senseless goons, we'd probably gain some breathing space and be able to move about a bit quicker.

My latest Tesco episode came about when I noticed that EVERY product I was buying had increased in price by between 20 and 50 pence. That all quickly adds up... and what's more this was just 3 days after a previous visit. I flipped my wig and began cursing out aloud, so I got "cornered" and had a good shouting match. I'm not proud of it BUT at least I had the guts to stand up and shout aloud that what is going on is CRAP... which is more than I can say for the many millions of Tesco shoppers who say and do absolutely NOTHING every time they are fleeced by price increases... and of course Tesco continue to make nice profits...

I'll be totally honest - I'm in total despair. I no longer feel I belong or feel human thanks to this constant surveillance and the never ending spiral of despair in this country. Intelligent company is increasingly hard to find and I feel like I'm surrounded by thousands of brain dead sheep who cannot see nor care about what is REALLY happening.
