What a disgracefully poor performance by Tottenham. After they had scored their opening goal they seemed to consider job done and stopped trying. Their defenders merely acted as escorts for the Man Utd strikers, and when Spurs players did get anywhere near goal they lacked commitment. They were still 2-1 down with 10 minutes to go and they kept playing the ball backwards and failed to push men forward. No point in defending at that stage; the number of goals doesn't count - once you're out you're out. With nothing to lose they still worried about conceding and showed no inclination to score another goal.

I know their main priority is survival in the Premiership, but many of their fans had paid hard earned money to travel to see them play.

I'm a Middlesbrough fan, but I still like to see other teams play well. This was a shambles. Spurs do not deserve their fans if this is the best they are prepared to offer.
