Following a stabbing in one Liverpool bar last week, extra "security" has been implemented. There are now quite a few bars in the city centre of Liverpool operating "search" measures. How long will it be before this applies to ALL bars and pubs?
Here is the absurdity of
this particular pub... the main Liverpool Police department is on the next block, a minutes walk away and this particular square has the Law Courts seconds away. There is CCTV all over the place around this square (it's also home to the infamous Queen Victoria statue which now has a barrier round it so nobody can go near it) The Police wouldn't let the bar re-open until
MORE security was added...
I no longer go to
any bars or pubs in Liverpool city centre because I want to relax and have a nice quiet drink... not be harassed and molested by moronic "security". It's bound to result in ever more pub shutdowns.
In fact the last week or so has seen a serious increase in Police presence during the daytime in the city centre in Liverpool. I really do not like it. The chav brigade continue to run amok riding bikes all over the paths and pedestrian only areas and generally being intimidating and obnoxious but they
never get stopped or dealt with... it's the likes of you and me who are being pulled over for "questioning", searches and general harassment. All in the name of "protection" of course.
