I'm going to vote Tory... 15 Years, 2 Months ago
Hague makes so much sense on Marr today.
Wish he was Conservative leader.

after the events of the last 6 months I think most people will be voting Tory.

For many it is because they are the alternative.

Hague is good - shame he is not on TV more often.

I used to enjoy the Bill and Ben spot on the This Week program. It was William Hague and Tony Benn just chatting together about the week's events.

It's unfortunate that Hague still thinks the war in Iraq was the right thing, but on home affairs and Europe he has good ideas.

Hague has certainly matured into one of the wise men of the Conservative Party. It's sad that his rather nerdish exterior hid a good mind when he was leader.

Will I do the previously unthinkable, and vote Tory for the first time in my life ?.

Well I most certainly won't vote Nu Labour !(I'd vote Old Labour for sure)..so on that alone I think I can safetly predict the Tories will be swept into power and Labour thrashed.

I'll see who gives the best assurance on civil liberties before I decide who to vote for.

Labour do give an assurance - that they will continue to erode our civil liberties - so they are not even a consideration.

I voted LibDem last time becasue they were the only party guaranteeing to protect our liberties. The Tories have finally decided to speak up on the issue. I guess it was difficult for them when Howard was their leader as it was he began the erosion. I'm not overly impressed with Cameran, but he has said he'll reverse a lot of the Nu-Labour "nonsense" and so I might seriously consider them, especially if they bring David Davies back into the front bench.

Civil Liberties is the biggest issue at stake I agree completely.

I dont trust OSBORNE ( friend of Mandy - Bilderberger ) and I dont particularly trust the Tories.

But I agree we need Brown out because he is incompetent and very anti civil liberties.

I think as a public we all need to assert more pressure against the erosion of Civil Liberties.

We need to all speak out against CRB Checks ( if the Government think they are essential then why are we asked to pay £35 out of our own pocket every time ? - that in itself is wrong ) It is a STEALTH TAX.

We need to speak out against ID CARDS. We must NEVER accept them - we must be prepared to be arrested for this or they will bring them in. I am ready to be arrested for refusing an ID card. I am willing to give up foreign travel and rights - I will NEVER carry a card and I know most people say the same.

We need to speak out against intrusive CCTV cameras. They should not be in toilets or pointed at any private areas. There will come a time when people rise up and destroy all these cameras. The cameras cant fight back - so it will happen. They are not necessary except for security purposes. 99% of them are a waste of space.

We need to speak out against legislation which means people are GUILTY before being proved innocent. This undermines a FREE SOCIETY. Any law which is unjust we must oppose.

We all MUST SUPPORT people like JK who want to challenge the JUSTICE SYSTEM. If we dont support such people we dont deserve to be called human. We need to STAND UP TO INJUSTICE. Historic sex allegations can never be proved - therefore there should be a time limit like in all other crimes unless there is hard evidence. Compensation means these trials are fundamentally unsafe. They should not happen. Same with other cases based on "allegations"

If we all challenge TOTALITARIANISM and spread the word then they will not win. They try and persuade us we are safer for all of this YET on the other hand they tell us we are more at risk. Which is the truth ? They send two messages intentionally to confuse us into paralysis of thought ( very clever ) like a RABBIT IN THE HEADLIGHTS syndrome ( Do I run or take my chances.....) By the time we have tried to process the thought they have taken away another freedom.

ICKE examines the evidence of what has happened and what may happen. I look at the HOW it has happened.

What I am writing on this FORUM is exclusive research based on hard evidence - which shows how our Governments are using these techniques to enslave us without us resisting. Very clever. Icke has never worked for Government or studied this stuff - I have.

And sadly this is the problem we have.

Brown has GOT to go. Like Dubya, he's a f**king disaster. Unfortunately I do not and never will trust the Tories.

That leaves the LibDems... who? Nobody votes for them... they don't stand a chance so we have a two horse race with two corrupt parties (the Tories have always lied through their teeth so I don't believe a word Cameron says) and two lousy leaders. Whoever we get, it's gonna be crap.

NONE of them can be trusted.

BR - you are spot on about what we need to be challenging and speaking out against but sadly I fear far too much of the British population are brainwashed and brain dead that they just sit on their arses and do piss all.

A few weeks ago I caused a minor fracas in a branch of Tesco. Every item I was buying had gone up in price since my previous visit two days earlier. This angered me especially since Tesco brag they are making profits during this time of crisis so they rub it in by whacking up the prices yet again. I wasn't happy and made my voice very clear to the degree I had to be escorted from the premises. I felt a bit of a prat shouting out aloud and making a scene but at least I was doing something and speaking out. Everybody else just stood there watching me, looking bemused. Yet THEY are quite happy and willing to let Tesco continue to rip them off. They hand over their money without a single complaint. If more people spoke out like I did, maybe something would get done. Sadly... they don't speak out. They just sit back and let it happen.

Elliot - keep doing it.

We all need to make a stand.

I have made a note now to do that when I go shopping when ripped off.

See my thread about Price Rises. I did not make a fuss ( too shocked ) but I am going back into the shop to tell them that my monthly visit will be for one item only. I spend about £1,000 a year at that Ryman shop - and I am going to get my stuff from Tescos from now on.

Consumers need to vote with their wallets. Oppose profiteering. Tell them when their stuff has been put up unreasonably.

Prices should be the same now as last year.

We must ALL stick together.

Those who are BRAIN DEAD and BRAINWASHED by the media will sadly be the first to suffer. If they refuse to see what is staring them in the face.

90% of internet forums in the USA and UK are now enlightened in some way. The public is now aware of what is going on. But only by standing up to this government are we going to succeed in stopping them.

We must for instance offer support to all the workers in all industries. We let down the Woolies staff by accepting their demise when BROWN gave £100 billion to the banks ( Woolies whole debt was £300 million and 30,000 directly lost their jobs - and over 10,000 indirectly by that failure )

We must not let any other BIG UK business go under. We must demand a BAIL OUT by BROWN.

always complain..I do!. Complain loudly no matter what those around you do. Don't be put off their natural reservation. Something sinks in and you may convert just person which is a success.

Both my parents were wonderful complainers and taught me well.

There must be hundreds of supermarket cashiers and managers who trembled at the sight of my mother..knowing what was in store for them.

My father was a fiery Scotsman who never took rubbish from anyone. He always drove a car but it broke down one day and he had to come to collect me from school on the bus. He said what a terrible experience it was despite my protestations that buses were crowded every day.

When we got on for the return trip the conducter loudly said one person would have to get off as the bus was too crowded..my father said.."oh just go on and forget it"..the conducter insisted one person had to get or the bus wouldn't move.

My dad was now bright red in the face..not a good sign. "OK he shouted..why don't you get off !". He picked up the conductor and plonked him on the footpath and then rang the bell as the bus took off leaving the shell shocked conductor staring at the departing bus.
