Magnificent glasses. Buddy Holly with a subtle hint of Dame Edna!

No wonder Joe Meek thought he had a Buddy lookalike on his hands!

That's a thought - 50th anniversary of Buddy Holly, Big Bopper and Richie Valens' deaths tomorrow and the 42nd anniversary of Joe's.

oh good..I'm going to the (re)opening of "Buddy" tonight at Sydney's ghastly glitzy Star City Casino (designed by a Feng Shui master from Hong Kong-and subsequently packed to the rafters with punters 24 hours of the day)

Not much of story..poor Buddy's life was so short..but what an amazing number of brilliant songs he wrote..nearly 3 hours of fabulous good old rock'n'roll !
