I've watched the last two episodes of Life Of Riley on BBC1. I was prompted to give it a try after reading some terrible reviews and wondering if it could really be that bad.
It is possibly the most miscast comedy of all time, apart from the baby who is exellent as a baby, and the youngest boy (Patrick Nolan) who seems to almost feel sorry for his older co-stars. When I strip away the awful acting, I see quite a funny, well written script and I then feel sorry for the writers who deserve better treatment of their work.
I've seen the last two episodes of 'Life of Riley' and I agree that the writing is very good. Last week's, with the mistake over the Elvis theme at school, was my favourite of the two.
