when you reach the age of consent but are denied the right to consent 15 Years, 3 Months ago
It's a curiosity. I've come across cases of people of this sex offenders register being banned from having relationships with people under 18. The age of consent is 16, so surely they are not just imposing restrictions on the 'offender', but on the other person too. How can they say to a 17yr old, yes you are old enough to consent, but we forbid you to have a relationship with this person, thereby also saying that they are denying them the right to consent.

Either a law applies to everyone, or it becomes unworkable or, at the very least, unjust.

The same applies with teachers and pupils. It is a crime for a teacher to have sex with a 17yr old pupil. I could understand if it was unethical and the teacher was no longer permitted to teach that pupil. But a crime?

I am a bit puzzled by the need for these grey areas in British law.

The New Labour Sexual Offences Acts ( yes they have re-written the rule book especially ) basically makes everyone who has any contact with an Unde 18 a sex offender.

Hence if you travelled with an Under 18 anywhere it would be abduction. They cant consent to going anywhere.

Teachers and many other professionals have an "abuse of trust" law thrust on them now - which means that even grooming ( which could be as innocent as speaking to a teenager in their care about their problems ) is now a jailable offence.

Is it any wonder why no sensible person would take a job where the threshold for a criminal offence is so low that just by being friendly and caring you could find yourself in jail.

Of course New Labour Doctrinalists will say that would never happen because evidence of things would need to be gathered etc. but as we know just a simple allegation by a third party can be enough to start a teacher getting suspended and investigated. In some cases no evidence can still lead to a court case where it is one person v another in the court with no evidence to back up either side.

Sexual offences - along with Racsim and terrorism are the way in which New Labour and the NWO will seek to control the population by smearing their opponents. They know just a hint of these three things when applied to an opponent is enough to smear them for life using their media. Job done.

In custody cases in CHAV areas of the UK the common element is "smearing" the other parent. So parents are accused of abuse - terrorism - Racism in the Secret Family Courts every day of the year. No wonder the courts dont know which smear is real or not and then the GUILTY actually get away with it and the innocent get smeared. There are loads of books written about people's experiences of these courts on Amazon. You will be amazed at what is happening in our country in SECRET COURTS.

The age of consent is flexible according to New Labour. For some in the population it is 16 with many others it is 18 and the whole idea of consent is blurred even further when you apply European laws where other countries have legal ages of 13 - 14 - 15 as well. European laws are meant to apply accross the Eurozone. Yet the Sexual Offences laws do not apply.

Basically the whole area is a mess - but intentionally a mess. My view is that anyone Under 18 should be considered as a no go area for any adult over 18. That includes helping them physically in any way or talking to them directly. New Labour have driven a wedge between adults and Under 18s. Intentionally.

You only have to see the 12 year old Father on the front page of the SUN - a hero for New Labour. The genuine child will be supported by the system with cash and help for having sex and bringing a child into the World despite him being simple. New Labour are encouraging children to have sex - providing condoms in Primary Schools - and allowing chain stores to sell Lap Dancing sets for pre teens and sexy clothing.

Our country is wrecked - it is in meltdown. We need a change of Government and a change of attitude. Then all the New Labour laws should be removed from the Statute Books one by one until common sense prevails and good laws are passed in the interests of Society not Political Dogma.

Soooo ..... has the age of consent been raised back to 18 now? What if the parents approve of the relationship (sexual or otherwise) concerning their 17 or 18 yr old? Sounds like a lot of people (including me) will be totally confused about what the law actually says now, and where we all stand.
