He has spoken about his wife's dementia with great honesty.
My Mum was always terrified of going senile - thank God she never did and up to the very end, at 91, was able to have giggly, real, wonderful conversations.

Suchet is one of the best newscasters in the country, I think.

May he cope as well as possible and not suffer too much more sadness.

send him good vibes..this illness is devestating on the ones who care for dementia sufferers.

I have 2 gay friends in their 70's...one was the CEO of a huge corporation and has completely lost all his memory and has no idea who his lover is. And the lover was a hotel porter all his life-their roles are reversed. Dementia sufferers can become almost impossible to deal with and take their toll on their loved ones..very sad indeed.

He's just been on the news and is sensationally decent.

Not just clearly a lovely man but a terrific communicator.

Very impressive and incredibly moving - especially watching him struggle to hold back the tears.

Maybe this will help a bit in the de-mystification of the terrible Alzheimers/Dementia disease. This has to be the hardest to cope with for both family and loved ones.
