7 months to work out they were not going to charge him. 7 months of an allegation hanging over his head that was obviously stupid and designed to cause him and his business maximum smear.

In a COURT CASE - AL FAYED accused the ROYAL FAMILY of being lizards and part of a conspiracy against his son and Diana........

So what do we learn : anyone who publicly says these things will have a SMEAR against them when the opportunity presents itself.

This is the FIRST EVIDENCE that I can see to PROVE THE LIZARD theory. If they had left AL FAYED alone and just described him as a nutter - then it would prove that what he said was not important.

They could not leave it alone - they have sought to silence him by using the SEX ALLEGATION method....but by doing so have FLAGGED that possibly he was TELLING THE TRUTH in court.

Case not proved YET - but 30% of me now says that THE LIZARD THEORY could yet be true.......weird and very strange.

Al Fayed is not a citizen of the UK. In my own humble opinion, he's abused our hospitality by insulting our Head of State and accusing everyone who disagreed with him of working for MI5. I'd just kick him out of the country. His welcome is very much outstayed.

I have never met him - dont know him - and therefore give him the benefit of the doubt. He is a world citizen and invests in UK businesses that employ many UK people - therefore he is positive in my view.

Additionally I think he knows the truth about the authorities and Diana/Dodi but can never tell the full story.

I'm not sure what to believe about Mr Al Fayed except that I'm sure he can look after himself. The source of his money has always been a mystery.

I can tell you-I knew Dodi well in the early 80's and acompanied him around London on nightclub jaunts. He was a pretty nice bloke for a "playboy" but had a serious cocaine habit. The common talk amongst the ladies was that Dodi "couldn't get it up" so I never believed that the relationship between he and Diana was serious (after-all, Diana obviously had a hearty appetite..footballers, James Hewitt etc).

I think the idea they would marry was laughable.

I was offered great money after Diana's death by a tabloid and a publisher to contrbute to a book on Dodi and Diana (the tales I could tell would shock). I turned it down. I wasn't going to get involved in either smearing Diana (who I adored) or Mohammed Fayed or indeed by association the Royal Family who I treasure.

Fayed doted on Dodi-I believe his death almost mentally destroyed him and it's taken years for him to accept it.

Of course that doesn;t mean he's a nice bloke.
