I think Geert Wilders is a bit of an extremist, but I do salute his honesty. I just saw an interview with him for an international news channel in which he spoke about his various ideas on how Muslims should be treated in The Netherlands. He said how Muslim women should be banned from wearing burkhas in order to give them more freedom to express themselves. When asked if he'd asked any Muslim women about how they feel, he replied that he didn't care how they felt about it.

Very few politicians of any nationality will give such a straight answer. Maybe the BBC should invite him on Question Time (if they can smuggle him into the country).

I've always believed in free speech. Suppressing somebody's opinion is wrong, however hateful you may find their opinions.

You won't combat islamophobia by refusing to allow anybody to question it.
