TOPIC: Max Clifford in the Guardian
#41306
Max Clifford in the Guardian 15 Years, 2 Months ago
"You can't help liking him" says Stephen Moss.

You'd find it quite easy, Stephen, if he had manipulated greedy liars into capitalising on false accusations against you, as opposed to a high profile celebrity.

Well, Stephen Moss must be a total idiot then.

Louis Theroux is a man I regard as having intelligence and he saw through Clifford and admitted disliking him. I'll take Theroux's opinion far more seriously than Mr Moss' anyday.

Max Clifford is like a parasite.

Did Jade Goody really need him ? how much will he be paid ( Cut in ) for the media deals.

Say Jade earns £2 million for her fund. Even at 10% he would earn £200K.

I wonder if he will be donating ALL his fee to Jade's children himself ? If he does not then it proves beyond any doubt the man is a 100% parasite. No one should benefit from another person's tragedy/

I personally think Max is far too cunning, devious and slimy to risk that.

He'd loudly and publicly donate his fee to charity and probably put in a similar amount of his own personal cash to show how noble he is.

And quietly rejoice at the millions extra all the publicity makes him.

I think I've worked out why this entire circus offends me so.
Because Max, brightly being well aware that the British love and worship hypocrisy more than any other talent, knows he can get the tabloids to shed crocodile tears and pretend to be helping save lives when he, we and they well know they are only pushing dying Jade to boost circulation and profits.

And they can conceal their greed under the cloak of hypocrisy.

Do we think they would print one word if they thought they would lose one reader?

Likewise the public can pretend to care about this poor woman instead of ACTUALLY caring about the woman down the street who is dying and cannot cope.

And a donation to a charity can be avoided by false tears over a tabloid photo.

The Fat Controller

Re:Max Clifford in the Guardian 15 Years, 2 Months ago
I would much sooner someone say to me 'YOU FAT BASTARD I HOPE YOU DIE IN AGONY...' rather than shed one single FAKE trickle of a tear over me.

..and the only time Clifford will shed any genuine tears is when he's on his deathbed and realising that his bags are packed and he'll soon be shovelling coal for an eternity...
