In 1972 David Bowie released ZIGGY STARDUST the first song of which is FIVE YEARS

I believe that the dream Bowie had was about 2012. Markers were put in 1972 to prove this. The day ZIGGY was finished was in January 1972 - the very day that Hereford United beat Newcastle United in the greatest ever football shock......on the bench ( not a sub but a reserve ) was DAVID ICKE - who played for Hereford United.

The FIVE YEARS song predicted end days and I believe that in 2008 Hereford United once again started to rise through the leagues. David himself was in the stand for the final match of last season in May.

Move forward to 2009.....and I believe that even in Bowies's next record in 1973 the synchronicity remains - with PANIC IN DETROIT pointing to events in the motor industry which are happening in 2009. Who knows - maybe the car industry will go under......

That brings me to PLANES.

Part of BOWIE's dream was that he should not fly for the 5 YEARS.......and as we have all seen - PLANES are falling out of the sky almost weekly for no apparant reason ( Birds LOL ) - remember the HEATHROW plane and now today.

Get a copy of ZIGGY STARDUST and listen hard. I genuinely believe that BOWIE had a vision of the future but what he saw was 2008 - 2012. ( there are many more reasons why but I will keep it simple )

We are living in strange times but for some reason Bowie saw the future.

You will notice that Hereford beat Cheltenham Town in the run up to this game 3 - 0.

Last year the two clubs met in the autumn in League One and the score was once again 3 - 0 to Hereford !

I've never met Bowie but seen him at things...press conferences and such (and naughtily..he has the very best toupee in the business..well almost as good as M.Jagger's hairweave:evil: )

But I have a freind who was his driver on a film for few months. He told me is the most superstitous star he has ever driven. I have no doubt he consults the oracles on every aspect of his career..and it would seem very sucessfully !

Dont think there are many football anoraks on this site.Think they all over on the excellent "Footy Mad" site. Never imagined Bowie as a prophet tho must admit "Five Years" is one of his finest songs. Ever thought of covering it JK?
