Evil Junta is a bit harsh for someone who is trying to get money back from someone who has been given massive severance pay, for bringing a bank to it's knees. It hardly compares to mass genicide.
Now the government owns most of these banks, it should ensure that bonuses are performance related.

What an admission, very very dangerous thing to say as it really is a confession that they are warping the constitutional Rule of Law to their own ends by using the 'public opinion' factor.
On the face of it (and that's all the great british public will want to see) they are acting admirably against some shiester with an ordinately large pension from a failed company, what people are failing completely to recognise is that these failed banks did not just 'fail' and were all basically following a protocol with regards to lending and borrowing, they were not 'rogue' banks!
In that respect, that pension is earned and deserved. Why should one man pay the price for what is so obviously a widespread blanket policy as regards credit, a policy implemented and encouraged implicityly by the government in order to create the false consumer boom?
The politicians calling for this guy to surrender his pension are hyocrites of the highest order, I think we should demand that they too are performace tested, that their pensions, directorships etc are all judged under the 'public opinion' microscope

Irony thread) - I do worry when we are run by politicians who cannot see the inevitable consequences (politicians pensions cut too; their salaries slashed; tabloids howl with simplistic rage when a) happens and demand b)'s head on a platter - eagerly given to assuage "the court of public opinion")...

It's not the flagrant dishonesty I mind; it's the rampant stupidity.

Sad to say her husband is JACK DROMEY - the ex Labour Party Treasurer - who helped to bring BLAIR down by his accusations of dodgy accounting.

Hence Harman said FRED THE SHRED got his Knighthood from the PRINCES TRUST work ( Prince Charles ) and not GORDON BROWN...........in the PMQs yesterday.

The truth was that BROWN gave it to him - and BROWN is a big friend of FRED THE SHRED. That leads me to believe the collapse of these banks was planned and FRED THE SHRED got his pension as payment for JOB DONE.

The FAKE anger by BROWN and HARMAN is for effect - knowing full well that in one years time FRED THE SHRED will still have his FAT CAT pay off.
