The Hyprocrisy behind "Sarahs Law" 15 Years, 1 Month ago
IT is very telling on the day that JACQUI SMITH trumpets her "PAEDO" law and Ms Payne is used as a puppet to celebrate the 10 families who may have been saved from a Paedo ( Yet we have no evidence of this ) the poor PARENTS OF THE TODDLERS who were RAPED by a FOSTER PLACEMENT pyscho were NOT TOLD at all about his offending past !!!!

This shows that when it suits the SOCIAL SERVICES/POLICE they will withold this sort of information even if it means a highly dangerous offender in their care ends up living with small children.

The hypocrisy really stinks and makes a mockery of the claim by SMITH and PAYNE that this law is to protect Children.

They should spend more time sorting out the SOCIAL SERVICES and POLICE - these two organisations basically take no action against families where children are literally dying because of abuse due to their "political dogmas" and lack of "concern"

This silly Sarahs Law will do nothing to prevent a single family paedo. Often in poor areas the women who have multiple boyfriends and have already been having children since they were 14 years old dont have any problem with going out with ex sex offenders. It is a way of life for them. The "middle class" Jacqui Smith and her advisors need to go and live on a SINK COUNCIL estate for six months - and realise that 95% of the abuse taking place in society is in these areas and is epidemic. The Police and Social Services do NOTHING about it - possibly because they are overwhelmed but usually because they try to pretend this sub class does not exist in the UK.

Our papers/TV are in partnership in covering up the real lifestyles of the CHAV class in the UK : but everyone who lives near an estate or who has worked in the Public Services on a daily basis with such areas knows how it is. Vicky Pollard in Little Britain was a toned down version of these areas.

Another silly Political idea to cover up abuse in the UK. Kids in these areas deserve protection - not political grandstanding.

Would Sarah's Law have actually protected Sarah Payne? I think the answer is no. It does nothing to realistically protect children. Few child molestors re-offend. With the right help and guidance they can resist their urges and lead a normal life. Very few go on to re-offend, despite media spin to try convince us otherwise. While parents might be focusing their suspicion on a neighbouring ex offender, this law does not protect a child from any, as yet, unknown offenders.

On the subject of Sarah Payne, I'm still wondering who's van it was that her brother saw leaving the area, and who the driver was. The boy's very detailed description did not match either Whiting or Whiting's van. I read that Whiting "has now confessed" to the killing. In fact what he did was confirm details of the charges against him when asked to do so in court while on appeal. This was not an admission to anything, but has been taken to be such. This is worrying as it means that anyone asked to confirm that they understand the charges against them can now be said to have confessed.

I bet BR is short for Brian Paddick. I knew I'd met you somewhere before ! The similarity in writing is uncanny.

The police take no action due to nobody being prepared to stand up and tell the truth. You're the first to whinge at the police, wading in without hard evidence so what would you have them do ? Dawn raids on ordinary families because "Katie" has a bruise on her leg ?. You can't have it both ways or can you ?

I come to BR's defence !

I think he makes a valid point about the basic demolition of the 'working class' as a defined group that had a set of standards that carried over from generation to generation.

They have been ignored and marginalised in the great stampede to create a huge 'middle class' as the new mantra from Thather onwards..but taken up with increased gusto by Nu Labour.. that community meant little and money was God and consumerism the the real meaning of life.

That's all ended in tears as it was bound to and left behind in it's wake huge sections of the working class in run-down estates with little prospects of employment. British industry has practically disappered and hope has vanished. Soething must rise in it's place..and that's crime at present.

We are now seeing the results.

Sadly the police are as beholden to these partisan policies beloved of politcians who now take their orders or directions from tabloids,as any other section of society.

Plenty of good cops..plenty of bad ones.
