Natasha Richardson - awful sad story 15 Years, 1 Month ago
Natasha Richardson is one of my favourite film stars.

I am absolutely gobsmacked by what has happened to her. A small fall on a ski slope and now it looks as if she might die.

Very very very sad - and only 45 years old. She will be much missed. Her husband is making a statement later....but it does not look good.

And my Mum acted with her grand father Michael Redgrave.

so your Mum acted with Sir Michael Redgrave ! Acting royalty.

I really love this whole talented family. I saw Sir Michael in a restaurant in Fulham Rd just towards the end of his life. It was so sad-such a great actor but he was suffering badly from Parkinsons. What a shocking disease that is. I feel so sorry for Michael J.Fox.

Corin Redgrave is a real favourite. Always playing roles that are the epitome of the establishment when he leads the Trotskyite Party.

The Redgrave women are all wonderful. I'm hoping the reports about Natasha are exagerated. So far the 'brain dead' and 'going home to NY to die' reports have turned out to be false.

Such sad news about Natasha Richardson. She died because of a minor fall in the snow. She OK initially. It must make you think, JK, how luck you were to make a full recovery after your fall earlier this year.

Life IS fragile - so lets enjoy it whilst we can!

Enjoy today's sunshine - and do something nice for somebody!

A very sad outcome for her family. I 'm not aware that I've seen any of Natasha Richardson's movies. Her face isn't familiar to me, but I my thoughts are with her family at this time.

A bang on the head can cause more damage than at first thought. I'm still surprised when I see footballers being taken to the sideline and having their heads bandaged before being sent back on. If they are sufficiently hurt to need a bandage they should be properly checked. As we see with Natasha Richardson, Sandy Denny and Stuart Sutcliffe, it's not always obvious.

I'm now convinced my fall has given me a brain tumour. Good news is - I haven't got a brain. Boom boom!

..and I hate to say this but Natasha's death has somewaht overshadowed the Jade Goody circus. Cue massive publicity stunt within the next few hours.

I wonder if Jade has sent her condolences to Liam Neeson yet?

"She was a luvverly laydeee Liam. I haven't got long now either..." Love Jade.

The Parent Trap - a disney film with Lindsay Lohan is a gem of a film. It is a remake - but Natasha Richardson and LL are stunning in it. The USA v UK rich lifestyle is also a wonderful parody of real life.

In Wild Child out recently she was equally superb.

She would be most familiar to theatre goers.....but all her film work was top quality.

Very sad news.

I bet at the start of this week she never thought Jade Goody would out live her.

I'm also very saddened to hear of her sudden death, although I have to admit I'd never heard of her before. I'm very glad that I didn't get into that very trendy, but potentially dangerous sport of skiiing.

I feel that she's more famous for been married to Liam Neeson, who's only film I've seen is 'Taken', which is very good but implausible. He must be devastated right now.

I loved the newer version of The Parent Trap. It was on TV and I was casually glancing at it, but soon became drawn in. I didn't know then that it was real twins as opposed to the same girl playing two parts. Was Natasha the mother in the movie?

Liam Neeson was in Phantom Menace, Rob Roy, Krull and Schindler's List. I feel for him and their sons right now.

Now that I've heard Natasha on the FAB Chart I must go seek out the CD of Cabaret.

Again, we should all mourn the death of a young mother (or anyone else, come to that) to a limited and superficial degree unless we knew them personally but I see the Broadway and West End lights were dimmed as "a rare accolade reserved for theatre giants".

What?
