Thats literally 2 miles from where I currently live in Cranleigh. It has changed a lot, it is now more like a small town than a village . Do you remember the now long gone railway station in Cranleigh? You can still see the Platform behind stocklund square.

I was in Cranleigh yesterday Robbie.
My local town for many a long decade.
I worked at Tylers to make enough money from stacking shelves to record a demo with Ted Taylor's band which eventually lead to my first No1 hit.

Do you have fond memories of the area and did you or your brother live in the area as an adult

My Mum lived there since 1950 and so did I - to this day we visit all the time.

I don't want to give away famous people's addresses but I beleive that Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr also live in the area. I saw Eric once in Rawlin's butcher,s but never seen Ringo in the 10 years I've lived in Cranleigh.

Ringo; I don't think so, not anymore but Eric, yes, for many years - he even sometimes opens village fetes - as I did.
