Sir Fred's windows broken... 15 Years, 1 Month ago
Typical stupid blame society rears its ugly head - people who borrowed to live beyond their means blame those who gave them credit for now removing it.

As a society we are going quietly mad.
Well, not so quietly.
And as a species we are near the end of the human race.
Probably good thing too.

Same stupids as the Sarah's Law crowd; only understand simplistic tabloid slogans; can't see complex issues so become violent against instant targets.

Doh.

I have a feeling that we will see massive riots across the whole UK next week when the G20 arrives.

The whole country is a pressure cooker of people who have been LIED to by this Government and RIPPED OFF by the BANKS - FUEL COMPANIES - ENERGY COMPANIES and feel that they may have NOTHING to LOSE by fighting back against the state.

It will probably lead to bigger riots than in 1981 recession and the 1990 poll tax riots.

I do suggest you keep out of the CITY of LONDON next Wednesday in particular and out of CANNING TOWN on the Thursday. The place is likely to be BURNING !!!

I can understand the anger though I dont agree with violent protest of any sort. But for some when you are impotent to change your life ( eg you have lost your life savings or business or job ) and there is no hope being offered by the Government this time then perhaps all you can do is kick physically against the system to show your displeasure.

Perhaps there will be the first successful ENGLISH revolution.

The POLICE could not stop the PEOPLE if they decided to do a V and march on WESTMINSTER and occupt the HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT. The police I dont believe would FIRE on protesters ? and if they did we would see the every city centre in the UK burning by the end of the night.

This GOVERNMENT has lost control as WILLIAM HAGUE said at PMQs today. BROWN is out in the USA giving speeches while the UK is going under. The ordinary people are so angry I can see a situation that has never happened before in the UK is more akin to 1789 in France.

Well look at the bright side. At least paediatricians are for the time being safe in their beds. Once again the violent and the stupid make their mark on the headlines. Common sense and civilisation, anyone? Somehow I doubt it.

Neither you or I were born into lower class poverty JK so we have no idea what struggling financially is like.
Most people have to borrow to live.

Sir Fred made a decision which cost people their jobs and homes. They are screwed while he takes a 700k a year pension and the government (via us) bail out his fuck up.
How is that acceptable ?

one of fred's neighbours summed it up perfectly,
she was very well spoken and obviously very wealthy,
she said "it is wrong but i do understand why, what i cannot understand is the greed of fred and others like him"

"Don't hate the player, hate the game."

This government and the regulators should take 100% of the blame for this - they created and fostered an environment where Fred (and his ilk's) behaviour was not only condoned but actively encouraged, and yes, this did lead to unprecedented economic growth (a fact a lot of people are quick to forget), but anyone with a even a rudimentary grasp of economics could see it was unsustainable and a bubble waiting to burst, none of which would have mattered if the fates of the banks didn't so fundamentally affect the whole economy, but yes it does, and here we are...

Don't get me wrong, I've always thought (before it was fashionable!) that bankers and cityworkers are obscenely overpaid, but a deal's a deal. If your parents' or grandparents' old employers called them up and said "We've had a meeting and decided you did a bad job while you were here, so we're stopping your contractually-agreed pension," you'd quite rightly be aggrieved, and unfortunately this is no different: principles are there for the rich as well as the poor...
