Is it just me or has this chap become a little too smug and arrogant? He was awful most recently on MOTD 2, and was quite patronising to Alan Hansen. Hansen knows a bit about football, more than Chiles I would say, whose career began hosting buisness programmes. I can't watch The One show anymore...Chiles continually cutting guests off in mid flow. Perhaps I'm being unkind, or perhaps Chiles has had too much exposure, but I find him increasingly irritating.

I think Adrian Chiles is an acquired taste. I see his ribbing of Alan Hansen as general banter between presenters. Adrian Chiles was actually a professional footballer, although he only played for West Brom (sorry WBA fans).

He's not my first choice of presenter, and I only watch him on MOTD2, but I can tolerate him.

Has gone downhill completely since the initial success of the One Show.

I know loads of people who refuse to watch the One Show ( including our household) anymore after his treatment of Carol Thatcher and his constant smarmy attitude.

The One Show should replace him now before he kills the programme.

Myleene should be brought back and a new male presenter to accompany her.

He was never a professional footballer unless having a season ticket at the Hawthorns qualifies for that role.

I find Adrian Chiles to be a nice enough bloke but probably one of the least enthusiastic and laid back presenters on tv. His humour is pretty poor. I prefer Gary Lineker who is so natural and always speaks his mind and doesn't toe the company line.

I think you'll find that he wasn't a professional footballer, he's just a massive fan. Apparently he's half Croation and is fluent in the language.

Yep, I've double checked on that and you're right, he wasn't. I'll have to be more careful of my sources next time. These Chinese whispers get everywhere.
