Idiotic US law on Childrens Books 15 Years, 1 Month ago
Interesting posts on the excellent Melon Farmers anti censorship site about the new Sacha Baron Cohen movie(Bruno) , a gay sex scene between Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor(in "I Love You Phillip Morris") and most worryingly the passing of a US law which bans the sale of all childrens books and toys made before 1985 (this one is rather disturbing). Theres also posts on a ban on over sixties porn pending in Massachusets. Well worth a visit for all the gossip on the book burners antics.

good site giles2008.

Censorship is far greater in the USA than I previously thought.

They've already banned a German teen sex education book that has been available for over 40 years despite psychologists throughout Europe proclaiming it as the most useful. Apparently it shows teens in sexual situations and as we all know, US teens don't actually have sex (despite them at it like rabbits).

I'm looking forward to Sacha Baron Cohen's film. Some Yank comedian tried to rip off the idea with a camp Israeli fashion designer about 2 years ago.

## I must post that my collection of Little Golden kiddie's books on sale on ebay are not available to USA buyers:S

(come to think of it..what am I going to do with my highly collectable vintage Mickey Mouse albums bought for £1 on Portobello Rd in 1978 that I've been planing to sell ? They bring the best prices in America)
