I recognise your voice-over but the "I was thatsoldier" bit at the end threw me.
Synchronicity-I was in shop only yesteday that sells all things Chinese but they had those rediculous sets of cards issued at the beginning of the (illegal) Iraq invasion so I bought a set as a sort of sick souvenir of the era.
It occurs to me JK..after all you have been through that like some others I know, you become quite fearless when you have been repeatedly attacked.
Been done by everyone from Max Bygraves to Max Boyce (Rugby Style). Think the best early version was by Phil Harris (Baloo the Bear in "Jungle Book") in 1948. My mother has a copy on 78.Your version updates it nicely. Internet Hit i think.
It's very Anti-Christian. I don't think there is anything in the bible that tells you to kill people, even if those that claim to have christian beliefs do so. The same goes for the Koran, those who truly follow it's readings would never get involved in violence.

I was thinking the same robbie- but I think the song is aimed at people who think their faith gives the permission to do such things.
The views counter has frozen but it is appropriate the day after the names of the soldiers who died in Iraq were read out but the names of the innocent Arabs murdered in our name and with our tax monies were not.
Too hard to pronounce?
Or don't filthy brown foreigners count as human beings?
We also need to remember that our army kill in OUR name - the name of our Government and Queen. So in a way we are all to blame. That is why we should all double our efforts to be heard in the future. Perhaps we should have blockaded the Military Bases to stop the War in Iraq. Worth thinking about if our Government ever does this again. They would not want to fight the peaceful citizens of our own country.
Should we be prepared to give up our lives to save the lives of those in IRan or Pakistan ? I say we should.
To me the track seemed a bit rushed to fit into a time limit and, maybe due to it's pace, didn't seem to have any real atmosphere. I must admit that I prefer Wink Martindale's version, despite it being a bit sweet and sugary.
