NoTW declares it's unlawful intent 15 Years ago
The latest tale in the NoTW really borders on lunancy.

If I were Rolf Harris I'd be on the blower tearing strips off Rupert Murdoch and threatening to sue.

Some things in the piece are disturbing..the reporter's description : "one in white socks and school uniform the other clutching a cuddly toy." is truly disturbing.

This writer sounds as if he wanders around peering at young girls himself and noting their dress.

Attacking GG for ignoring drunks is pretty feeble..from a newspaper owned by a man whose family companies are HQ'd in tax avoiding countries and pays almost no personal tax-with no personal ties to any country.

Every member of the family has a different nationality to influence company voting rights. If the general public were aware how billion dollar supperannuation fund managers in several continents, who have foolsihy invested in News Ltd, were planning devestating legal actions they would be amazed.

If the inventive writer of this GG fable believes his tawdry skills are setting him for future advancement in News International he needs to re-think.

Learn a trade man-your reporting days are doomed as is most News titles.

Clearly GG has a good legal case now to sue the NoTW for harrassment and stalking and he would win. The paper has indicated it intends to continue to unlawfully harass him.

He could if he wanted, now demand police protection and it would have to be provided. Yet not one politician has the guts to clamp down on this rubbish that cost taxpayers needless money.

I suspect-reading between the lines, he doesn't give a stuff anymore.

Everybody knows why this is - going back to that court case years ago and the Judge's comments about the News of the World and Max Clifford and their despicable behaviour promising a witness far more money if GG was found guilty.

Both the paper and the spawn of Satan have never forgotten or forgiven.

They think the way to get their own back is this course of action.

Karma may think otherwise.

Those of us who don't read such rags can only guess what this is all about. Does GG mean Gary Glitter? What is the Rolf Harris connection? I can't bring myself to look at their website. It is one tabloid which fills me with disgust and I avoid it like the plague.

This is the biggest non-story yet, basically Gary Glitter has got a new disguise and low and behold he's been seen walking past schoolchildren in the street!!! Wow, I walked past a couple the other day, so did thousands of others, I didn't realise it was illegal!!! The video clip shows Glitter eating a meal in an indian restaurant, with some spooky music as the soundtrack to make it look sinister. Apparently Glitter now calls himself Darren. Surely he is told old to be a Darren, the name Darren wasn't around when he was born, as far as I'm aware.

He really should sue for invasion of privacy.
There is absolutely no sign of anything illegal, and under new EU laws (a la Mosely) he would probally get away with it.

There was an American actor called Darren McGavin born in 1922, so I guess the name is old enough for Gary Glitter to use.

He walked past school children. Wow! You mean he didn't stop to talk to them, or follow them? What a story!!!!

I wonder how many people still buy the News of the World. Do they only buy it for the pictures?

Re:NoTW declares it's unlawful intent 15 Years ago
we read these sites so you don't have to Emma ! It helps to know what the enemy is up to.

Actually it's a bit of a hoot and I suspect GG/Darren knew the NoTW was there all along.

What we have is a dramatic tale of a man who goes to an off-licence and then for something to eat. Earth shattering. The implications are really quite hillarious..he apparently "tricks" the "young" waitress to lean in closer because of his hearing aid.

The mad bit is that when he removes his sunglasses you can see his "mad staring eyes" although I doubt even the thickest of NoTW readers wouldn't know that the video (dramatic film of a man ordering something in a restaurant) shows Darren removing his spectacles looking up and then footage is frozen for a few seconds to give the impression his eyes are staring.

Oh and apparently if you have a grey wig and a grey beard you have adopted a "Rolf Harris" disguise.

The replies are the funniest..people saying GG most hope it will all die away after a few months...which is exactly what will happen unless they plan to repeat the same story time after time and bore even their most sex obessed readers to death.

I'm just fascinated by the NoTW expressed claim that the will hound Darren forever which is an admission they will stalk and harras him. This is a declaration of a criminal act.

I expect Darren doesn't want the drama of a court case though which he most certainly would win.

Never forget this organisation willfully breaks the law as we saw in the illegal bugging of the Royal's mobile phones for which a PI and their Royal reporter went to jail for..and were sacked.

And then employed in the same company elsewhere presumably for taking the rap.

Murdoch's top Oz tabloid Daily Telegraph(with a plunging circulation and advertising revenue) is still facing numerous libel suits for slandering a host of judges, barristers , professors for giving references for man charged with having illicit porn. They offered to settle..most of the 12 libelled have decided they want a lot more. Estimates so far reckon it will cost Murdoch up to £1M.

I'm not sure if Glitter could sue for invasion of privacy, as all of these pictures were taken in public places, restaurants, streets etc. If this was illegal then magazines like heat, Now etc would go out of business. I think it should be illegal, but don't think it is.

Re:NoTW declares it's unlawful intent 15 Years ago
Gary Glitter was convicted in a country whose legal system is far from ideal. There is no burden of proof, no presumption of innocence and no real testing of evidence. He did not even come close to having a fair hearing. This doesn't mean he's not guilty, but there is no way that anyone in the UK can claim that he has been prved guilty either. I wonder if the British government, by enforcing the Vietnamese verdict, is saying that they now acknowldege the Vietnam legal system as fair and acceptable.

If most people in the UK are honest they will admit that they cannot possibly know whether Gary Glitter was guilty or not. Even if he wass, there is no evidence of him ever snatching a child off the street, so the claim that he is a constant danger is a nonsense. This is scare mongering at it's worst.

Reading through some of the comments on the NotW website I find it of much greater concern that there are people, without any first hand knowledge of the man, calling for Gary Glitter to be executed. People who rush to such a judgement based purely on tabloid spin are the real danger to society. They have learned nothing from the numerous past miscarriages of justice.

Humanity needs to take a good look at itself.

In the words of 14 year old songwriter Jackson Cook -
"The world's a cruel place. I'm ashamed to show my face."

I tried to put a comment on the site, however because the comment was against the NOTW saying what a non-story it was and not a lynch mob rant it was not published. Quel surprise!!

Re:NoTW declares it's unlawful intent 15 Years ago
That was quite the most disgusting newspaper article I've ever read. I had to check several times I wasn't reading some kind of BrassEye spoof - 'girls wearing white socks and school uniform'...

The criminals who publish trash like this should be charged with incitement to murder, because that is exactly what it is. Portraying this guy as a subhuman recidivist who deserves no mercy for walking down the street when schoolgirls are also walking down it (wearing white socks) followed by a story that Channel 4 will be making a documentary about whether he deserves to die.

But we all know the police can pick and choose which laws they want to uphold now...based on the whims of the Jade Goodey worshiping simian mob and/or the interests of the governing elite.

The constant references to Gary committing the 'crime' of talking to 'young' waitresses and 'young' people in the street - presumably in their 20's and 30's. Reminds me of a passage from a Michel Houellebecq novel :

'There was a lot of stuff in the papers about paedophillia that year. It was as if someone had put the word out to them 'You've got to come down hard on the paedophiles'. And all because they hate old people and can't stand the idea of becoming old themselves...'

I thought some of the comments were completeley hysterical. The woman who has removed her children from school due to the maniac on the loose should surely get a visit from the truant officers. It will probably be your turn again next week JK, Have they done a feature on Vile Pervert yet or are they saving that for the Euro Court case?
