he did plead guilty to 8 charges of taking or possessing indecent images. That's a bit vague isn't it ?

Found guilty of one assault,innocent of another.
Seems there was some pics on his comp.Doesn't sound like they were pornographic,but could well have been unsuitable.

Sounds as if he was a man grieving over the loss of his wife and in a very vulnerable position himself at that time.

We dont know the full story - and never will. I think that anyone who works in music and TV has people of all ages and types literally throwing themselves at their feet all the time. 99.9% of the time those in music and media act responsibly but if someone is vulnerable after the death of a long term wife who knows......

It is interesting that the court is doing reports. Probably they will give a suspended sentence and some counselling in this case.

It is certainly less serious than what is being exposed by the mass "Theft" of public money by Cabinet Ministers and what they seem to be using the money for........that is where the TRUE organised story of exploitation lies.

The best the Police can do is to find a minor celebrity to parade for the media at the moment. They have run out of major celebs to pick on. In addition most males are turning away from teaching ( less than 25% left in the profession ) - so that these things are becoming less and less reported.

The sad fact is that real abuse is going up because Social Services are at breaking point. That must not be forgotten. We need a Government who will not turn a blind eye to the real needs of community.

You'll never get the truth from the media. However, that doesn't make him innocent. Why do so many here mostly assume that those convicted are bloody innocent?

I myself am currently going through a set of false allegations.JK was falsely accused.Good enough reason to assume there are others.

Personally, I think it's very difficult to get to the truth of something like this.
Mr Bethell has taken some wholly inappropriate pictures, but I wouldn't put it past the police to encourage this young girl to exhaggerate what he did so they could get a 'celebrity' conviction.

From what I read, he took some sexy pictures that may have been 'inappropriate' (to use that terrible American description), but it is implied that they were not nude or pornographic. Yet he's going to get done for making child porn?

We can have no idea if he is guilty of the assault. It's her word against his, but with the 'inappropriate pics' then of course he's going down.

This is one of their cases were they were 2 people together and no witnesses.

All we know that he promised her stardom, showered her with gifts and took pictures but we don't know what pictures he took of her. what does 'inappropriate' mean in this case ? If they were not rude or porn then I'm confused here.

He admits touching her to help breath to sing better but what what else he did we the public do not know the truth and media does tell little white lies no doubt the parents would tell the child to do to gain more publicity.

How do you know that he was falsely accused? Were you with him on the dates that the alleged offences occurred. I guess not, therefore you're just blindly believing his word, like the jury blindly believed the alleged victims.
