Unusual Sex Offender. 14 Years, 12 Months ago
Unusual case but probably not uncommon. Wonder what the sentence would have been if the boy had been gay?

Maybe he'd been watching the American TV show "Weed". Although in that it was the boy's Uncle who took him to a prostitute. I know this is beside the point, in law, but I wonder if anyone (apart from his father) asked the boy what he wanted.

another example of authority and polticians controlling every aspect of a person's life.

Under Jewish law-a 14 year old would be considered a man. In Germany, Italy or Spain, the man would have broken no law.

and the utter waste of resourses with a frigging policeman/woman out arresting people for attempting to come to a mutually satisfactory financial arrangment about a sexual act.

The law is ,and becoming more and more so everday, an ass.

The way round this would have been if the father had said that they did not set out to look for a prostitute but that when his son saw the woman he told his dad that he'd never seen someone so sexy and wanted her for his birthday. It would have still been a "bad judgement" by the father, but it could then be argued that they were only put in that position because of the presence of the police officer as she was the only one the boy fancied. Therefore, entrapment could be argued and the case would have to be dismissed.

It's always a dodgy area for the police. Same with when they trawl the internet pretending to be children. Are they helping to catch pretadors or are they luring people into situations they wouldn't otherwise choose to be in?

How dare a young person want sex? It's dirty and wrong unless you happen to be an adult.
