I know the British media and public is tearing itself apart on the tragic marriage break-up of the fabulously famous Peter Andre & Jordon, but I can't seem to actually find anything about what this pair do for a living.

Their split is now dominating Oz newspapers-just as the unknown and tragic death of Jade Goody eventually made it into the Oz tabloids (they'd never heard of the poor girl until she died)

I met Peter Andre a few times in Sydney where he had a mildly successful singing career before he de-camped to the UK where he seems to have had a spectacular success.

But what do they do ? Any clues ?

They did the London marathon alongside thousands of other people, but apart from that I have no idea what they do, other than allow TV cameras to follow them everywhere.

Jordon was famous for showing off her enormous tits and Peter Andre was either a one or two hit wonder. Jordon has made money from magazines selling her stories. Then done what allot of has been do go on reality TV and thats how they met.

They did nothing, do nothing and will do nothing.

What do singers do to warrant all the media attention ?
Sing a few songs, date married people, teach our kids that drugs is fine, teach our kids that sexual exploitation of fans if fine ? Puhleez.

Get off your moral high ground. The music industry has resulted in more destructive practices of the human race than any other industry other than the government. I don't care about Jordan but many people do so go figure. Most of you on here want fame for yourselves or your artists so go figure.

Actually one of my favourite musicians, who writes some awesome songs, isn't in it for fame or money. He's just doing what he loves doing.

I think the main point being made on this thread is that Peter and Jordan have got themselves major TV coverage through doing nothing in particular, not in comparison with musicians but in comparison with everyone. If we must make someone famous, why not someone either with talent or who devotes their lives to helping others. Peter and Jordan didn't fit into either of those groups. Why not Fred and Freda Blogs who run a hostel for the homeless, for example?

Jordan is famous for been a glamour model and Peter Andre is famous for been a pop singer.
Miss Price doesn't have any discernable talent, except for been an excellent horsewoman, but thats not why she is famous.
She is however sexually attractive and at the end of the day, sex sells, whether 2-dimensional or 3 dimensional. She has help sell hundreds of thousands of copies of the Daily star, that is why they pay her. They are not a charitable organisation.

She isn't exactly a good role model, however probably a better one than Eminem who has promoted drugs and gang culture, and in my opinion is equally as untalented.

Eminem does not rap. He just talks to a beat. Real rap has rythm, as shown by Ice T, Big Daddy Kane, Gary Bird, etc. Without his shock factor Eminem would be way down the pile.

I don't know about untalented but definitely overrated. He basically takes existing songs and puts some incomprehensible rhyme no top of it. Some of them are quite cringe worthy like rhyming Elton John with Leprachaun. Its all about the image.

music is all about connection.....some songs will connect with some people....and others wont. Just because "you" dont get - Eminem - or Heavy Metal or Pop or xx it does not mean that music is bad or less worthy than other music. Art and Culture are a broad church - and cultural fascism ( telling others your taste is superior to theirs ) is all too real.

The music industry is not a perfect place - but at least provides products which last the test of time - which most industries do not. I can still listen to music written in the 15th century and can still play songs created since then. No other industry can make products that last so long

The SEX industry has tried to infiltrate all parts of life. It is because we are all sexual beings - created by God with reproductive needs. The SEX industry knows this and like the food industry sells to our basic needs. Both these industries are actually more evil than the music industry. The FOOD industry creates too much food in the developed world and starves everyone in the developing world to death. The SEX industries titilates and perverts the natural beauty of sex into a shady backstreet parody of mac wearing totally self satisfying actions devoid of any of the LOVE word.

I dont see the music industry doing that sort of damage to the world. Yes - some people who make music are flawed individuals - but most are very ordinary people who are creative with talent and use their talents to create beauty ( in their genre ). The fact that the SEX industry ( Media run ) tries to infiltrate all areas of life should not be blamed on the music industry.

I have met Peter Andre - and found him shallow - though he was a reasonable live singer. Never met Jordan and cant see why she is famous at all. The papers create their stars and those who buy those papers perpetuate them. It is as simple as that.

Eminem has done song that he is a serial killer or something which shown during a ad break on Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning just remind it's been done many times before. And the metal band Macabre did a very good concept album called Sinister Slaughter each song is about a real life killers.
