The Most Evil Politician in Parliament 14 Years, 11 Months ago
www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2009/may/24/...dna-profile-database

Forget the expenses smokescreen. Forget the silly Duck Houses - gardening - and all the rest. It hardly effects us at all. It is a drop in the ocean of taxpayers money - the bank bailout had more than MPs expenses x a billion.

The most evil politician in modern times after Hitler has to be JACQUI SMITH. I cant think of one other person who has acted in such a dictatorial way denying other human beings their human rights in modern times in Europe.

Once again she puts two fingers up to the courts and to millions of people who are victims of the State Police and their plan to stop anyone disagreeing with her government.

The people of Redditch hate her but the BBC and SKY wont drive their vans to the town and do interviews because they are FRIGHTENED. They want her to resign - after all not only does she have no disregard for the law but she cheated more blatantly on the expenses than any other MP. FIVE other MPs and the SPEAKER have already resigned their seats for doing far less.

I firmly believe that in years to come JACQUI SMITH will be seen as the main player of the disaster which is currently taking place in our country.

While millions are out of work - she diverts public money towards a "Database State" costing tens of billions of pounds. Money if spent on jobs would keep at least a million in work.

LABOUR HAS MADE ITS CHOICE - THE DATABASE IS MORE IMPORTANT TO THEM THAN JOBS and PEOPLE.

Time for a change.

I agree with you 110% this Government is the most dangerous in Britain. If they scrapped all their silly plans and ideas the country wouldn't be in so much shit. British jobs for British People what a joke that it is I was laid off in November it was 96% Europeans and I found it hard to get a job since don't get a response from employers these days.

There are illegals immigrants working on Eurostar and when you go to train stations very rarely see a British person working on them. Government said they are hard workers and do jobs the Brits won't do what a load of BOLLOCKS thye work for near to nothing and probably don't pay tax as they are not earning enough or do cash in hand.

I can do the jobs they do but don't seem to get them and maybe it's expected that get the minimum wage. I be a Dad for the first later this year and worried about the future with employment and housing. Can't get a job at the moment and missus wont be able to work till the baby is at school.

The courses that the Government send jobseekers to are pathetic what you do to look for work there you do at home and never see a foreigner on them just British people who been laid off.

Time for change ? Yes

This government just cares about the bosses of big businesses, for whom immigration is beneficial (i.e. cheap labour). Also they have an initiative to get people aged 18-25 back to work. What about the 35- 65 year olds, they are the ones that really need the help. 18-25's most likely live at home and don't have a mortgage, and can easily change careers. Over 40's get prejudiced against for jobs and most likely have mortgages to pay, not too mention families and elderley relatives. They are the ones that really need the help, but Gordon Brown wouldn't realise that as he has no concept of living in the real world.

robbiex is right about the elders getting back to work they are the ones that I feel sorry for more.

I share your great distaste ,BR for Jacqui Smith and indeed, find her one of the most repugnant of politicians amongst many but the most evil ?

I think that mantle still belongs to Tony Blair the greatest Labour Party traitor of all time and the man who lied so that thousands of innocent Iraqis (and Afghanis) were to die needlessly. What actually goes on within his head and how he justifies his actions is to me, one geat mystery.

But there are simply just too many evil people around to point to them all but my fear is that if anyone thinks a change of government in the UK will correct the exceses of the past 12 years under Nu Labour and Blair/Brown, then they are deludung themselves.

Most of the restrictive laws that really begun to bite into what was once a free Britain began under Margaret Thatcher (particulalry during the great Miner's Strikes) when the full force of the government and the police was brought down to bear upon working people and to finally impose their will and destroy what had grown since the end of WW1 into a reasonable sort of Nanny State and replace it with a Big Brother state.

This continued with John Major who imposed laws about "terrorists" and introduced detention that finally outstripped Russia which still only has a 5 day detention policy and began the full intrusion into citizens lives where control by government is to be absolute.

Blair was nothing but a right-wing Tory under whose leadership Nu Labour has turned into a Stasi like entity and I fear there will be just more of the same from Cameron but with better and more soothing words.

Oh for some real conservatives !

Do agree with veritas here.Maggie did start all this, and I was out canvassing public opinion for the tories about ID cards during '96.
Cameron has jumped on the liberty bandwagon,as he seems like Blair to jump on public opinion.
Like Obama he'll no doubt make a few bits of tinkering round, but will eventually even add to the mess with his own laws.
Protest votes are what we need, keep the big two on their toes.

BR you are bloody stupid.

So let me see Jacqui Smith is worse than:

Idi Amin
Pol Pot
Sani Abacha
Pinochet
The muppets in Rwanda
Charles Taylor
Argentina's dictator

Surely your rants against the government are over the top and you need to have a reality check. Maybe if you had a relative that died at the hands of real dictators you would be able to put JS into perspective.

Innocent Accused, that's true in the topic title, but in his post he writes this:

"The most evil politician in modern times after Hitler has to be JACQUI SMITH. I cant think of one other person who has acted in such a dictatorial way denying other human beings their human rights in modern times in Europe."

I think that's what Observer is referring to and it is indeed a very ignorant thing to say.

sorry to post after myself, but just re-read the quote I posted from BR and in fairness he specifically mentions Europe: "I cant think of one other person who has acted in such a dictatorial way denying other human beings their human rights in modern times in Europe."

so I presume, BR, that you have not heard of the vile Romanian dictator Ceaucescu, overthrown in 1989? or Yogoslavia's Slobodan Milosevic? or Radovan Karadzic, currently about to face trial at the International War Crimes Tribunal? I could go on....

Of course not forgetting Spain's dictator Franco who only died in 1975.

Jaqui Smith worse than Ceaucescu.... laughable.

Seems we're arguing fine points rather than facts. If he'd said western europe, specifically meaning EU type democracies I think he'd have a point.
I lived in Romania,as well as behind the former iron curtain. The NKVD murdered my wife's grandfather, but modern Russia and Britain if put to the test Russia is not so restrictive to people's liberties as here in the UK,politics excluded. Now we could argue about this all day,but I will simply point out that as a victim of this country's legal system I do know a lot about how the state operates, and it stinks.Sure JK will bear me out on this one too.
BR may at times dramatacise things, but his heart is in the right place.
