TOPIC: Cameron stinks.
#45244
Cameron stinks. 14 Years, 11 Months ago
Like Blair he's a loathsome opportunist.

The problem with "giving control back to the people" is the public haven't got a clue.
If we knew how to run things we'd do it ourselves.

We simply vote according to the best images and the catchiest tabloid slogans.

And whosoever The Dirty Digger decides who he wants in power. As for "giving control back to the people" Hows he going to do that? Workers Soviets? Cant see it somehow. Cameron will (like any politician) do anything to get in power and when he gets there will do absolutely nothing for anyone but himself and his party.

The episode of Yes Prime Minister "Power to the people" gives an interesting insight into what might happen if a government gave power to the people.

There are just so many appalling policies to tackle Nu Labour on but the opposition appears to be pretty clueless to me.

The problem is Blair and that loathsome creature Campbell so effectively exploited the 24 hour news cycle with anything from DNA from 12 year olds to blowing the be-Jesus out of an Iraq wedding that we now have a bunch of politicians who cravenly crawl to the tabloids.

I can't really think of any politician in the mainstream who couldn't easily fit in with the opposite party. I don't think we have politicians of conviction anymore, just opportunists who join whatever party they think they will prosper in.
