I've always been absolutely fascinated by the Titanic, long before the film and before it's resting place was actually discovered.

Particularly the caims in one well-researched book that it was the sister ship Olympic that actually sank...and the Titanic sailed on into the WW2 as a hospital ship when it was eventually scuttled in the Med.

It's claimed that on the first voyage from Ireland to Southhampton a fire developed well in the coal bunker of the Titanic that couldn't be exstinguished so the Olympic..built exactly the same, was substituted with a name change so that a "Titanic" could complete it's scheduled inaugural voyage to New York.

She didnt think much of the people who pay to see the wreck.Thought they were morbid and mad. It is true that Cameron ,De Capprio and Winslet made a contribution to her nursing home fees recently. There is a Titanic memorial in Southampton town centre which is worth a look if anyone is down that way.
