TOPIC: The usual baying mob
#45909
The usual baying mob 14 Years, 11 Months ago
Nursery worker arrives at court. Why can these hearings not be held in secret or the crowds dispersed as they surely would have been on a climate change demo? The police have the powers but only seem to use them against lefties?.

yes I was thinking the same, Giles.

Mob rule both in and outside the courtroom against someone who has not been found guilty.

Her face is all over the front pages. Fair enough if and when she is convicted.

But not before.

This is standard police procedure and one day a decent journalist will expose it.

They did it to me (not very successfully).

They leak the appearance dates and times to "victims" and anyone else who can join the baying mob; sometimes you'll spot cops themselves in plain clothes shouting NONCE and spitting; all helps get that conviction.

Disgraceful.

I agree with JK. The police use the most odious PR tactics. Those in their media depts could always get a job in Hollywood or promoting soapie stars.

So successful are they in this particular case , that it's hit the tabloids and TV here in Oz. The scenes of the hysterical crowds look embarrassing. I'm quite ashamed to see English people acting like lunatics especially when it's only an allegation at this stage. Not even murder gets this reaction.

You don't see anything like it ...not even in a country like this where 40% of the population is British. Why?...because most people have better things to do...like go to the beach or a job. So all those screeching lunatics are only there for the entertainment or out of boredom.

The police are going to make a monumental mistake one day and this will all go drastically wrong in spectacular fashion.

As an old demo veteran from decades-we always got to know the agent provocateurs quickly and used to have fun with them..getting them drunk..deliberately belting them over the head and commiserating later at how dreadful the cops were..a favourite was spiking their drink before a demo with a laxative.

But that was then,,,they have gotten so more sophisticated these days. Scary.

A recent similar case in Brisbane saw a judge castigating the media and police and dismissing the case for the reason the person charged was unable to get a fair trial. The media went balistic..the person involved moved to a relidious retreat farm in the country. Did I say you dont see mobs?..I was wrong.

The locals were out in force screeching and trying to block roads. To their credit-the priests and nuns refused to give into the mob. They went away eventually..bored with the whole thing.

And the cost?..several millions in $$$ for the cops. Wasted money in overtime and drafting in more coppers.

One day a politician or journalist with guts will do their own investigation into the number of real crimes that happened during that period while idiotic officers were holding off screecing fools-or work out the number of kids the money could have been spent on. Might have saved a few thousand kids in the Third World from dying of starvation but then that doen't sell tabloids.

At the G20 most of the violence was said to be coming from "undercover police" or "agents provocateurs" trying to create violence.

This tactic is just as bad as the Waterboarding in my view.

Our democracy is hanging by a thread and is being undermined by the Police who seem to be setting the agenda for "protest". ( I bet they were disappointed only about 20 people turned up for this particular Police sponsored event )

The two skinheads who flour bombed the van were particularly "rent a mob" and will be let off with a slap on the wrist and probably were let off other things in order for them to act. They looked like the stereotypical chav as well !!

The Police are ruining the UK. They have big PR teams who dominate the media - they had more Press Conferences than photos they could find to charge this woman with in this particular case !!! Laughable.

Finally to prove the "link" between this and Labour - guess what happened during the FIRST NEWS CONFERENCE.......the UNEMPLOYMENT FIGURES WERE ACCIDENTALLY RELEASED TO THE MEDIA AT THE SAME TIME - thus stopping the main media being prepared for them.

Stinks.
