I've always, since a small child, been a fan of Hancock's Half Hour, but it's only in the last few months thanks to BBC7 that I have discovered Round the Horne. How the hell did they get away with it in the 1960s, some of it is still 'woah' now in terms of the inuenendo.

Try and listen to the sketch about marrows all the differnt sizes they like.

There was an excellent script book published a few years ago by Barry Took and Mat Coward and published by Boxtree. This includes full uncut scripts from a 20 programmes by series so you can see what was edited out by the blue pencils of the BBC.Its strange that a lot of what was edited out was not as rude as what was left in.
