£20,000 to be precise. This is the cost to the independant organisation that publishes the prison paper Inside Time.

The prison authorities will no doubt be happy to see the end of a campaigning paper that often exposes their weaknesses.

Oh dear. Insulting those hypersensitive Islamists is about the worst crime you can commit these days, with the possible exception of accidentally looking at a child. Personally, I believe laughing at religion should be encouraged, not outlawed. I can think of nothing more worthy of ridicule.

The humour is apt in any case, given that Egyptian authorities ordered the slaughter of all its 300000 pigs, deliberately destroying the livelihoods of non-Muslim farmers even though they knew swine flu is passed from human to human, and there was not one single case in Egypt.

A well known Islamic website published the belief that swine flu is God's revenge against infidels. Didn't hear anyone campaigning to close them down.

If I win the lottery jackpot tonight, I'll be donating half my winnings to Inside Time!

I have of course been kept up to speed on this; the really nasty element is that Andy Thackwray, who wrote the very funny piece, has been punished in prison for something over which he had no control (the cartoon was not his; simply selected by editors).

The rest is absurd and funny though unpleasant.

I find it strange that in the UK the religion of most of us - Christianity- is constantly ridiculed and the BBC spends most of its time trying to undermine it - YET it has no protection at all.

When was the last time for instance you heard about a play being pulled or a newspaper being pulped for ridicule of Christianity ?

We dont even see the media reporting about Child Abuse cases concerning Muslims ( which must exist statistically ) "Naughty Mullah from Bradford " etc

For some reason the PTB in the UK have decided that Islam is at the same time villified as terrorists and then protected as the state religion in order to undermine Christianity.

I think all religions should not take themselves too seriously. After all they are meant to be a spiritual link to God. I am sure God has created humour ( after all in Christianity he created us in his own image but without hate ) and therefore has a wry smile when genuine fun is poked at religion.

When God created the World he did not create religion according to the Bible. It is a man made creation in order to group people together in his name. Whether God would approve of Churches or Mosques or Synagogues is not totally clear.
