It was a good win, but very very close. The other guy just bottled it on the break points (for which he had many).

If he is struggling this much in the fourth round, can he really go on for 3 more matches against progressively stronger opposition, I personally doubt it.

Murray hit 49 winners to 38 unforced errors yesterday against a guy who can't play on grass and is only just inside the world's top 20

Roddick 46 winners and 8 unforced errors
Hewitt 55 winners and 25 unforced errors
Federer 34 winners and 8 unforced errors

Yet Murray is the guy in form ? Don't make me laugh.

This easy draw couldn't have been kinder if he'd drawn it himself

I'm really rooting for Murray and it was a fantastic game but I have to agree Mike; if Andy can't play better than that against Federer, he might as well give up now.

Federer may have only hit 34 winners, but he has been finishing off games in 3 sets, so therefore you can't really compare it with Andy, who has had a 4 set and 5 set match.

Andy Murray at times showed he CAN be the best player in the World - very similar to Boris Becker in his ability.

What he lacks at the moment is consistency - he plays loads of great winners and then messes up completely on easy shots. Though he does not bottle things like Tiger Tim Henman.

He will need to get lucky to get to the final - but it is not impossible because he is in a very weak half of the draw compared to the Federer half.

Any top 16 player should have made the semi finals with Murray's draw

Rainer Schuttler made the semis last year thanks to an easy draw.

I'm fed up now with people still seemingly wanting to make Murray out to be a wimpish boy in a man's world. That's bollocks and he's proving it!

Even if he wins the thing there will be those saying...'Oh poor Federer was a little tired'...or 'the weather was too hot and Murray had nobodys for most of the tournament.'
