I believe Michael Jackson must have known the end was near for him. First of all why would he have scheduled lots of gigs in London with the title 'This is it', implying that there would be no more. 50 isn't usually an age to retire. Also why would he cite his 79 year old mother in his will to look after his children. Most of us would expect to outlive our parents, unless we know of some illness.

He mentioned in an interview that he thought he would end up like Elvis. Like Elvis he was destroyed by the people he paid to look after him. We will never know the truth, the family will see to that. Lawyers are already being hired on all sides, the battle lines are being drawn and i can truly see "Blood On The Dancefloor" or at least the courtroom floor. I dont want to get into conspiracy theories, ill leave those to BR who is probably working on another one right now which i look forward to reading. This one will still be running in ten years.

the will was drawn up in 2002, before the Bashir documentary, before the trial, one year after releasing an album.... Plenty of people draw up wills at that kind of age.

You say most people would not retire at 50- well how many showbiz people "retire" early? Plenty, and many of them miraculously reappear after their "final" tour? Tina Turner for example...

And re: leaving the kids to his mum, well he did name Diana Ross in case his mum was not alive.

He may have known time was not on his side (or may not have), but a will drawn up 7 years ago ?
