And there was the usual member of the anti lobby on tv spouting the usual rhetoric about Aids and Paeadophilia. The same old song of the homophobes.

I think there are real efforts in India to tackle that.

Regarding the previous anti-gay legislation- it was introduced under British colonial rule, but had never been removed.
