Having never watched any episodes of Torchwood, I am totally hooked. Always thought it was meant for kids. My only gripe is the endless over dramatic soundtrack. The lead girl is fantastic.
Anyone see the picture on the DAILY MAIL site with the massive lightening strike coming down on the MI5 building last night ? Spooky or what !!!! Watch tonight's episode and you will see the similarities !!!
Its popularity is due to its subject matter - more people than ever are seemingly seeing UFOs and having strange experiences......it is also being watched at the same level as Eastenders on the I PLAYER each day.....
I was put off Torchwood by the BBC's total overkill on John Barrowman. I got so sick of not being able to turn on any programme, even cookery shows, without seeing him. I just hope he doesn't return to Dr Who.
Nothing really against the man. I'm sure he's got some degree of talent. I just got fed up of seeing him.
I am a massive John Barrowman fan. First saw him in the West End playing opposite Elaine Page in ANYTHING GOES and then in MISS SAIGON and finally in SUNSET BOULEVARD.
He is a fantastic actor with a tremendous emotional singing voice.
I think the BBC are lucky to have such a talent and I enjoy his Doctor Who role as Captain Jack because it has humour in it which helps the plotline. He worked really well with Billie Piper in Doctor Who as well - they had a good chemistry.
I have been lukewarm to his part in Torchwood up until now - but the first two episodes this series are the equal of anything in Doctor Who.
